Made it in around 5PM with Jake & Chowder in tow.

Earlier today we went for a hike on the Kimsey Creek Trail at (sort of) nearby Standing Indian Campground, in the Nanatahala National Forest in NC. Really nice, and a great campground for future reference (boon docking only).

For The Musicians In The Group...
I stumbled across a small mom & pop music store in Hiawassee today. I'm not a musician so I don't know what I was looking at but it sure seemed like a cool place to me. The couple has owned this store for years and it's become a junk shop of sorts but contains lots of acoustic and electric guitars as well as banjos, fiddles and other stringed instruments. Some wind instruments too. They're usually open till 5:00 PM so there's still time to stop by and see them today (Saturday) or on your return trip to Hiawassee.
Pick-A-Way Music Store
487 North Main Street
Hiawassee, GA 30546
706-896-3639
The music store is across from Huddle House. The store is in an old tire shop (Uniroyal I think) and has a 70's black limousine parked (permanently) in front.
By the way, they sell propane too. I noticed the propane tank behind the store and stopped in to have our 30# tank filled. That's when I noticed all the instruments hanging on the wall and from the ceiling. They only accept cash.

We also are home. We made it through Atlanta with no traffic delays. Great weather for traveling. Reba and I had a great time as usual and thanks to Alan and Shannon for their work and keeping this event going. We had a chance to renew old acquaintance and make new ones. We did not get to dance as much as liked, but made up for it by eating. Love those pot lucks.

Thanks Alan and Shannon for a great weekend; we appreciate your hard work!
We had a good time, got to break in our new axles, met some nice people and shared a lot of good food and good company...what could be better?!

We had an awesome time. It is looking like the next Rallys will be WBCCI Southeastern Camping Unit affiliated. This does not mean anything changes, but we may attract some more WBCCI members.
Looking forward to Falluminum. Hope to see some of you guys in between, we will likely head to Asheville in June, and maybe Lake Russell on the way up or back.

Had a great time as usual! Kids really had a blast playing with all the other kids. No Stitches or even minor scrapes this time.
Thanks to Alan and Shannon for hosting another great rally, Brad for bringing the drums, and Kate for baking the brownies (we can trade out pizza every time for those!)
Look forward to doing it again this fall, if not before.
