Joe/Annette, glad you're coming! I guess you liked the CanOpener. Two years ago we enjoyed the CanOpener so much we decided to come to the Springstream. Been doing both ever since. Some of the same people at both rallies. You'll have a good time.

Alas, all your collective conniving plans for groveling, bribery, coercion, blackmail, the "nuclear" option, all will be of no avail. Unfortunately the WDCU Cherry Blossom Rally (our last at Roger's Farm) is scheduled for the same weekend as Springstream this year. As much as I love the Springstream, the CBR trumps all.
Love ya, miss ya! Save your efforts for Falluminum. IkeT, I know that you would NEVER let go of that fist full of bills just for a bowl of bread pudding, would you?
I'd post photos of the polar bear plunge for some bread pudding. But since you aren't attending the Springstream, I guess you'll never see them.

As for Fall I have an idea we will do the weekend before Halloween. This is the 22 of October.
I have not called the park to hold sites yet but it does look like a great time to do it. whaddayall thinnk???
It's hard for us to plan that far ahead - our son is in the high school band and it's too early to know their schedule. Our schedule is crazy that time of year.

Glad Clancy is coming
If my memory serves me correctly, Clancy is the one that started the outside portion of the Bloody Mary party and the reason the heaters were turned on.
Glad you will be there also.

I think that is the same weekend as '09...froze my shorts off on Saturday. Didn't stay at the potluck for that reason. I know the weather is iffy that time of year so it may be nice-n-cold and it may just be nice. Either way it will be nice.
Last Falluminum was in November. It was a week or so too late (cool) for me too.

I know the feeling....but lots of folks want me to set it up long in advance so we can grab good sites ...we will hold 30 or so again ...
Yeah, yeah, yeah - wasn't complaining - just a crazy time of year for us. Whatever weekend you decide on we will make EVERY effort to attend!! We love this event, and it needs sufficient planning! Plus, I think there new potential band members if I recall...

Well, my vacation got approved today, but I called too late to get a reservation. Try again Monday.
FYI--Alan, the link in Post 1 of this thread takes me to a "groups" login at Yahoo. I don't have a login there so I wasn't able to see any of the info. Just thought you'd want to know.
Good question. Actually, I do like them, but not a huge fan or anything. I just think of the distinctive organ work from Whiter when I think about organ playing.
I also think about Book T and the MGs (Green Onions).
By the way, I couldn't have spelled their name correctly without Google...
For the Rally music, I always look to Alan (AlanSD) to lead and suggest, but sometimes push other directions too. Ron (PizzaChop) is the other source of material, usually with lots of John Cougar and the Mellencamps, some Tom Petty, and others. I always like to try Living In Aluminum (Antsy McClain) (YouTube it to hear).
