Spring Gathering at Pecatonica in Northern Illinois
Join us for another Spring Gathering at Pecatonica River Campground in Northern Illinois on May 21-23.
As usual this will be a informal get together with old friends and new.
Sue is thinking of a Dutch Oven inspired Saturday night potluck.
Any other ideas? Post them up here. The more the merrier.
Information on the Park and the Sign up list is on the Rally Page now.
See you Soon.
Sue and Tom.

It has been a long winter. Glad to hear that you will be attending. What does everyone think of a dutch oven meal Saturday night? Let me hear some thoughts and ideas. Looking forward to seeing everyone. More threads to follow.

How about a dish from your "ethnic" back round? Not a US food item, but from somewhere in your family tree. For example I have French and German in my back round. Lori has Scottish and Swedish ancestry....
I see that there is a Dutch oven cook out planned by another group.....

Two Months to Go
Well, we’re 2 months out from our Spring Rally. The snow is gone, the ice is off the lake, and we’re itching to get out and go camping.
Have you looked in your trailers to see how they survived the winter? Seems like I’ve been living in mine since New Year’s day.
A new dinette is going in. Up front the nasty plastic fake walnut, front couch, fouton mattress and slide out table are all gone. The skins have been removed, mice and water damage dealt with and the big dent in the front pushed out.
The new Hickory cabinetry is taking shape and some should be in this weekend. Still need to get the final dimensions for the upholstery and have that done up as well.
Got plenty of scrap wood for cooking.
Ted, Sue likes the ethnic idea for Saturday’s potluck. If anyone else has any other ideas for meal themes post them here for Sue.
Don’t forget to sign in on the rally page. http://www.airforums.com/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&day=2010-5-21;&e=650&c=1
See you all soon,
Tom and Sue

I think we can make it...
Hello Sue, Tom, Dana, Mike, Lori and Tedd (And whoever else is reading this...),
I was in my last "seated" class today for the spring semester, when an advisor came in to the room, and asked for volunteers to pilot a couple of courses "on-line" for the summer 2010 semester. It just so happens that these are the two "seated" classes I was going to take during the first half of the summer semester, that were preventing us from coming to this event. So, long story short, I believe we can make it this spring.
I have a lot of work to do to get ready. Just got a set of Aluminum wheels last week, still in the boxes. Also, I want to PEX out the plumbing system, new exhaust on the tow vehicle, and am in the market for an air conditioner/heat pump if I can find one for a good price.
Tom, I am waiting for more pictures of your dinette. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Tedd, being of Scottish decent as well, perhaps we could cook up a couple of Haggis and some Tatties (potatoes) in the "Dutch" ovens. Just kidding, I wouldn't eat Haggis, well maybe a chicken Haggis...
Anyone heard from Flamingo-Kid1? I don't see her posting here...
Looking forward to May! Best to all,
Scott, Mary and the boys (Patrick and Steve)

Scott, Mary, glad to hear that you will be attending the spring rally at Pecatonica. Tom has been living in the trailer since the first of the year doing the dinette. Hopefully it will be ready by then. Next project with help this summer will be the airconditioner. Let us know if you find any good deals on units.
Gary and Rachelle will probably not be coming due to the fact they want to try to sell at many flea markets this summer and their schedule for weekends is quite booked.
More to follow on the ethnic potluck dinner, see everyone soon.
Tom and Sue

Sue... I haven't been following this thread and until I finished looking back, I thought you were serious.
Glad to hear Tom is not banished to the trailer... even though you guys have one of the nicest out there.

steve, are you and the crew going to join us? At last count I think we have 8 units coming. There are 51 sites available and if Roger and Dee are the hosts we should have a good time.

Potluck
Just a month away from our spring gathering, can't wait. Tom stilll working very hard on our new dinette.
Saturday night potluck- Each couple needs to bring a dish based upon your nationality, either husbands or wifes and either a dessert , salad vegetable or appetizer for all to enjoy. Please post what you might bring so we don't have too much of any one thing.
Any other thoughts or ideas please post them. Hope to see all soon.
Tom and Sue
