Our Spring Vintage Camper Rally will always be the weekend after Mothers Day and the Fall Vintage Rally will always be the same weekend as the Shades of the Past Car Show in Pigeon Forge.

We have had lots of great looking vintage campers of all shapes and sizes at the Vintage Camper Rally in the Smokies. Anything from an 8 foot tear drop to a 35’ bus. You can not believe what a good time was had by all. What made this event so impressive was all the great campers who took time out of their lives to attend. You will never meet a more fun loving and friendly group of campers than the ones who attend this event. This event will fill up fast, so book your site early.

We are on board and will arrive the 13th. This will be our first vintage rally. We have restored a 65 22' Safari. The interior is complete and the polish is 90%. We will complete polish in the spring and install Zip Dee's. Put our baby in the poll barn for the winter as the snow is flying in Michigan.
Can't wait!

Vintage or not, all trailers, motorhomes, teardrops, or any brand trailer is welcome at this rally.

I'm new here...Can I come and stay in my tow vehicle? (I can fit on the 3rd row bench comfortably) I won't have the trailer ready until next year, but I'm very curious about camping out and meeting other Airstreamers. As long as I can have a place to potty and a shower might be nice after a bit :-P ... I can bring some stuff in a cooler and can help out with others, etc. I've never done this so feel free to break me in, or say "no"... :-)

Hey SF,

Sure you can come without your trailer. Some members sleep in tents, some sleep in local motels, and some just don't sleep at all.

I would suggest you call Jimmy at Misty River to discuss your options about accommodations.

You may want to consider a few other Southeastern rallies as well such as the Can Opener in January.

Checking out the campsite now... I might be able to do the Georgia one, but I'll be busy with houseguests in January and then up north in CT for February (and hopefully get a start on the work- if I can get my trailer by then with the title bs.)

Ricky does'nt know it yet but, WE'RE COMING !!!! Our bus isn't vintage yet but somtines she sure acts like it ! We are in the process of restoring our 1976 tradewind and want a peek at others who have gone befor us on this daunting mission. Tami

Well, all. I am going to have to back out. Next year!! It's taken this long to get a title so now I have to just work work work... So-- that's where I'll be in May :-) Have a great time, and hopefully I'll get there next spring.

We just made our reservations for the Vintage Camper Rally at Misty River. We will be arriving on May 13th with our 1968 Avion. I will try to find some time to sew up a few vintage style rope and pole awnings for the trade show on Sat..It is a dog friendly campground, so of course Dutch Puppy will also be attending.To fish in the river you will need a Tenn. Fishing license,I was told. Tubing and swimming is also allowed in the river. They do have a hot-tub and swimming pool too.It sounds like a fun rally to attend. Hope to see a few familiar faces there. Kristi

Went to this one last year and it is a good choice, especially if you like a wide variety of different trailers. Even a couple classic buses and motorhomes.

The facility is very nice and the hosts are all about customer service and making your stay as good as possible. Extremely nice bathouse, all shower rooms are private with full facilities in each one.

And the barbecue, cooked on site, is not to be missed. Not sure yet but hope to make it again in May.

We received a special discount rally rate for reserving our site nearly a month in advance. They also offer a AAA discount. Plus, there is a special on Sunday, a late 5:00 PM check-out for only $10.00 extra.

Very glad to see that a few more have signed up for this rally. It should be a great weekend of vintage trailers, renewed (and new friendships), and a great potluck meal. Planning to arrive on Friday morning.
