Thanks Shari!!
Thank you Shari, you are so sweet to share your polishing secrets with us!! I'm getting those polishes asap!! Glad you joined the campfire, although you have been helping rivettes behind the scenes for sometime fixing our rally calendar and giving advice about everything to a certain pesky tin sista!!

Oh my, Shari! -- you're talking some serious silver polish here!
Thanks for posting the picture. Now we know just what to get when we're looking for just a little extra silver toe sparkle for those special Airstreaming occasions.

Hey where did everybody go?
The fire almost went out...am I the only night owl up tonight? Oh well, I'll just sit here awhile, stoke the fire & enjoy my port...

Yeah, but POR15 will work in a pinch...and it comes in that handy "rally" size

I don't think my clients would understand the glitter on my fingers...gotta stay conservative there, pink & whites...that's it.
Note to self: NO silver polish or tattoos where they can't be covered!

It's lunch time here. Is Monday "wash day" all over the country? I've been running loads too from a busy weekend with grownkids and grandkids in and out. I just got back from my son's cottage, about 30 yards from our place, where I mucked out winter dustbunnies and scrubbed kitchen and bath. He is disabled from diabetic abuse of himself when a teen and 20's; has lots of capabilities still but also lots of limitations, not to mention scary sudden low blood sugars. Anyway, he fell on his porch a week ago on black ice (what a winter!). We thought at first his arm was just banged, then Tuesday it swelled and discolored badly so I took him to the ER Wed-xrays showed broken off end of elbow and long break of radius. He does not have the pain sensitivity most of us have! He had surgery Thursday and should be resting it. I took this time to get in and do an early spring clean. It's 50's and sunny and I'm in the spring clean mood so I may take advantage of the day and go scrub dog "noses" off my long windows in the back. We can't enjoy the sparkling pond views (no ice for the first time in about 7 weeks) for all their "we were here!" marks. No baking here today so Annie's cherry cheesecake sounds yummy for this evening ~G

Hi Annie -- Looks like there's a slice of cheesecake left, mind if I have a taste with my afternoon coffee?
So sorry to hear about your son's accident, G. Hope he's on the mend now after the surgery and that the healing process will go well for him. Yes, it's laundry day in our house too, possibly a tradition passed down thru the generations.
Would you southern and western gals please send a little sunshine this way, and soon!? I'd love to have Codybear's 80F, but will settle for Georgia's 50F if I have to.

I love cheesecake. Just a little more please.
Sorry to hear about your son G. How nice that you can be there to help him.
Yes we have thawing, spring is it coming? Went in the AS yesterday and I am definitely getting the bug to get out before much longer! I need to go back again to JC for service as soon as the weather is warm, maybe look for some rallies nearby.
Shari, that silver polish is just loverly. Look girls, I did my toes too!

Hi ~G - sorry to hear about your sons' fall - black Ice is nasty stuff and diabetes can be a very unforgiving disease. I have to watch Peter like a hawk sometimes - although he is excellent with his routines...it is the lows too for him - he gets busy into something and just waits too long - as he gets older them come much quicker!!!
Annie ummmmmmmm that cheese cake is delicious - as I stuff my face with more (Sharon don't talk with your mouth full!! )
Well had a couple of hours in the Ladybug today - check out my latest post.
Yeah like I can really see myself doning the nail polish now...
I think I am going to have to drag the compresser out to the LadyBug - or Move the LadyBug up by the Garage.
Tell ya what - I'll cook ya'll something once I get the new cook top into the LadyBug could be a few years
What happened to the pics of birds and things - I want to see spring - today was gloomy and no sun and damp cold - I want to move!!! I want sun!!! I want to be a Western Rivette!!! or at least can I be an associate for a few weeks....
Missing my trip South now - we would have left last Thursday - instead yeah were did we go - hmm Lowel Indiana - now that was a real sunny thrill - palm trees beautiful white sunny beaches and all the tropical drinks I could muster - yeah like NOT!
Annie come home and bring the sun with you please!!!

Whoops, gals, hold on to your hats today. The wind is gusting! I just placed a fire screen over the campfire for precaution and pulled the tarp back up to break the breeze. Now, to get back to the good stuff. Steve's mended broken elbow looked good on xray yesterday to his doctor, but AWFUL to me--full of wires and stuff. New cast and my continued admiration for all of you medical miracle makers out there. Just bought seeds for grass and Sugar Snap Peas so I know I'm heading for a full-blown case of spring fever. My, that hot coffee is good this morning. ~G

Great coffee, G! Did you make it? Mine tastes of just a hint of cinnamon.
Have to thank you for sending me some sunshine this morning. My thermometer is reading 52F, the snow is melting off the roof, and the birds are chirping. I just love that feeling of having to squint my eyes a little when I go near the window.
I see the western gals are revvin up for their rally. Way to tow, ladies!

Geez...on my side of the campground it's snowing this morning, been a couple of weeks since the last snow though so it's okay. I was just thinking I'd have to start watering. Oh well, good day to be bundled up with a good book...I've got plenty of propane and my down comforter & fuzzy lambskin slippers to keep me toastie.

birds and blooms
Codybear, I love plum blossoms against the shiny Airstream!
I think you did have hail last night, because we just got pelted hard over here on the coast. If I could have figured out a way to throw myself on the trailer, I would have!
Soooo. Inspired by Cbear, I ran out between the downpours and took a few photos for Sharon with my little point-and-shoot. Now it's back to the cozy fire. Brilliant idea of sheltering us w/the tarp Georgia! I'm glad to hear you're thinking about playing in your garden soon. Very therapeutic!
Hope Steve's elbow behaves and he heals up quickly.
Sounds like you're already having a little peek at spring Jamie. I'm filled with envy for your trip to Maine--and for your talents!
Love the toes, Carol!

From your pictures, Janet and Codyb, spring is bustin' out in California! I know Shari must be looking forward to you sending some spring breezes over the Rockies to melt her (how many has it been???) _____th snow and start her daffodils and crocus in Colorado. I checked my pansies from fall and they look brown and brittle after our winter. I'd love to buy a flat of them and plant tomorrow but our temps are forecast to drop from today's near-70 to 30 for high tomorrow. Darn! ~G

Georgia, brrr!!!..54 is high today..here in Sacramento!..you have to come to sacramento soon!!!..the pansies can survive here..they're pretty hardy!!..the azalias in my back yard are already up!..can't wait for the lantanas..do you plant those??..I discovered them when I first went to Kentucky then saw them in Hawaii, so I started looking for them here locally, by golly, they have them all over!!!..I love the mulit-colored ones in one plant: yellow, orange, red, and pink...ok, who's ready for some cookies?

Okay...you gals are making me verrrrry anxious for spring! Here's the view from my office window today, we got about 3-4" of snow. This is Table Mesa in downtown Golden...earlier today I couldn't see it at all.
It really is a pretty view (well, except for the construction zone)...I'll post a "sunny day picture" later this week ~
Shari
