You can name it "throw rug" to follow your "magic carpet" ride
Good luck in your search.
And welcome to SS.

Hey, happy to see there is a place for silver sisters. I am fairly new to this sisterhood but have been enjoying learning my way around airstreaming and this forum.

I've been back from Kentucky after my three months of workamping for Amazon.com about a month and a half now and have managed to fill in with an occasional food demo. However I had an interview yesterday and I got some good vibes from my two interviewers and a date they will call back. Cross your fingers, toes and eyes for me, will ya? And on that note, I read a cute article that I will share a few excerts from with you. Maybe you will get a chuckle out of it like I did.
10 reasons why I want a job (as opposed to becoming an entrepreneur)
1. Guaranteed income.
2. Stability
3. Simplicity
4. Less responsibility
5. Easy to match your work with your field of study
6. Routine
7. Being normal
8. Easier to introduce yourself at cocktail parties.
9. Friends are included.
Many people say that coworkers don’t count as friends. But let’s face it, you do spend more time with these people than with your “real” friends, and sometimes even your family. You feel happy when they come back from vacation and you feel sad when they leave forever. And you get to socialize with them whenever you want, even if they don’t like you.
10. Frees you from the burden of having to decide your life purpose.
When you have a job, a lot of ethical, spiritual, and philosophical questions are answered for you. The answer to any question about why you do what you do is “because I have to.”
Welcome to all the newcomers, glad you found us and where are all the "oldtimers?" (figuratively speaking of course.)

Good luck to "wheel interested" on your job search and thanks for the welcome.
I think you may be living my dream - full timing/work camping. My husband and I try to think of a way to combine our love of the road in an airstream and some kind of way to earn income. Looking for something to light our "fire" and literally keep our tank full!
My two sisters and I have all recently gotten into ASing and have yet to make a "strictly girls" trip, but it is in our future. We just may have trouble prying our hubbies' hands off the wheel!

Thank you St Stephan. You and your sisters keep wearing away at the menfolk that is the start of it. My DH and I have only fulltimed some time for a season or two and separately (two Airstreams) even at the same location. We leave home to save the "farm" sort of speak home in Michigan.
We have had several woman's "We Can Tow It Rallies in Ohio and Michigan. I would encourage you to attend or plan one of your own. It is very empowering and loads of fun!!!!

Love all these fun Silver Sister chats!
I've been reading some of the A/S threads but never felt compelled to post a reply until I found this group. You guys are a kick!!
I'm new to A/S, have a Bambi, just got a Tahoe and I'm itching to take off but not sure which direction! (Kinda like...All dressed up and no where to go). So any thoughts out there gals? I live in Oregon, just retired, have no husband, boyfriend or pet (but really wanna pet, but the others....not so much). It's my time to hang out with the girlfriends and giggle, have a glass of wine, eat chips and chocolate (for medicinal purposes of course) and just enjoy the heck out of each moment. So, that said, my name is Cari (Carlita is just my wild Latina alter ego) and I would love to chat with you guys sometime. Until then, take care and have one heck of a day!

Congrats on your Bambi! I'd love to see pictures. Your Tahoe should pull the A/S like nothing is behind it. We have a Tahoe and pull our 25' Safari without any issue.
Have you taken your Bambi out yet? I did one solo trip shortly after we got 'Tex'. Went well. I think a Bambi would be a breeze to set up also.
I live in Michigan so it is a little far away for you and I to get together but I think it's fun to post our adventures so we can live vicariously through each other!

Welcome Carlita! Just take the road out of town and keep going. See new places, have new adventures! That's the fun of it. My goal for retirement is to be campground trash where ever the road takes me. I have never been out west, but hope to some day.
I had my Airstream long before I had a man in my life, but my dogs have always been eager to load up and go. We still go even if he choose not to! Tee Hee! Tatiana is my alter ego name and I especially use it when out of town.
Let us East Coasters know if you come this way. We are always up for something!

Congrats on joining the A/S life Cari! Good choice on the Tahoe thats what I tow my 22ft with and I love it, can fit so much in the back of that baby. Sounds like you have your priorities straight...wine, chips, chocolate, its all for the greater good Silver Sister!
There is a group of us who meet up in California once or twice a year for a sister's rally, keep your eyes posted for our next gathering.

Congrats on the Bambi. I'm also single and meet with several singles groups along the way when traveling. A very nice web site is Yahoo's Solo-net which is a fun read. There is also Loners on wheels. They give you an idea where solos have a good time.
Have fun,
Myrna

Hi, tksbaskets in Michigan. Thanks for the welcome and support. I won't get my Tahoe for another couple weeks so I haven't taken it out yet. It was neat to hear that you took out Tex as soon as you got him. Cool. I can't wait to get on the road! It's been fun though, like you said, to live other people's adventures. Love it!
Well I better get going. Got alot of thank you notes to write! Take care and talk to you later!!

Hi kposey (aka Kathy, aka Tatiana (good name!) Thanks for the fun and encouraging note. Campground trash, huh? TOOO funny!! Yes, I hope to just hit the road in a few weeks and have an adventure. Maybe Texas is in my near future (a silver sister suggestion!) so all I can say is look out world! (ok, not world but at least USA for now). My daughter lives in Queens so I'm sure I'll be out that way so I can see the Eastcoast Silver Sisters and all those in between! If any of you can come my way, I'd love it, too! Thanks again! Take care.

Ok, I'm realizing of course, what is obvious to me now, is that I should have just written one reply to all of you. Leave it to me to do it the hard way! Dag Nab it!!!
JuliannneJ, thanks for your welcome! I just want to say first and foremost...LOVE THAT TATTOO!!! It's so cool! I have been looking for California events and can't wait until I get to go down there! I really wanted to go this years Silver Sisters rally in California but "No wheels, man". I know it's gonna happen though! Until then, take care and see ya on the threads!

Hi Mryna. Thanks for the warm welcome and the ideas for connecting with other RVing single women. I will definitely check out their websites. I remember reading about the LoW group and their RV site in Deming NM (or AZ), I can't recall. So, thanks again for replying. Take care.

Hey Andrea from silversled. I tried to reply to the message you sent but got an error message. Something about me being a newbie and scam stuff. Anyway, I wanted to thank you for the great idea. I haven't checked out the event link yet but I think it's going to be perfect timing and a great place to go for my first outing. I am actually going to be in Austin next weekend. I'm taking a seminar with one of my sisters. Anyway, I love Austin so who knows, I might just see ya at that rally! Thanks again for the heads up and the link. Take care.

Hey I am enjoying the activity and reading your posts. You take as many as you want, space is not a problem. Welcome and hope to hear much more from you. We are under snow with reports of more on its way. WHAAAAA! Have been to the West coast twice now with the Airstream and am pining away for that weather and terrain.
