Just checked my map Sheryl to see where you are. One of my bff's lives in Minneaplois, Kansas and has been asking me to visit for years, looks like a straight shot on 70 from there to Kansas City area. Hum is that bbq I smell?

We always name our trailers and our boats - even our house.

House is Chattering Woods.

Our 4 Airstreams have been
MoonBeam - 1969 Globetrotter - hmmm no brainer -
Ollie - 1961 Overlander - From Laurel and Hardy -
LadyBug - 1963 Globetrotter - cause she was mine

And now ModPod 2005 (turns out she's mine too)
But can't have two so Peter is saying the more I call ModPod mine the more he is going to claim the LadyBug and she will most certainly NOT be called LadyBug he claims.

As mentioned I like to think of the little trailers as my Escape Pod to life!!! (and from Life at times too)

The 05 was the first one that was not Vintage - The International is very very modern compared to the other three we have had.

We were on our first little escape to Algonquin Park after my sea of lies to surprise H for our 25th Wedding Anniversary with a big silver trailer that WORKED!!! and was ready to camp in. (ha method to my madness - I could feel the waters brewing under the bridge and needed something to possibly live in if in a real crunch, if he said what the F*** have you done!)

In the Art shop at the park I found these hand painted tile magnets and thought they were great....

So "Love My Mod Pod - WOW" is the name that stuck!

I name all my vehicles, trailers, boats, etc. The Airstream is named Annie #4 and going to pick up Annie #5 next month. Annie is in honor of my mother who always wanted to own an Airstream and couldn't. When she passed she left me enough $$ to buy one, not a new one, but an Airstream. I'm just moving from vintage to not vintage slowly.

My Xterra is Essie, the burb is HiDeHo (because she holds alotta ho's), the boat is TomKat because it belongs to both of us. Oh yea, his truck's name is Baby.

I'll go try FB now and see if I can get on. Lots of rain down here in Tennessee last night with lots of mud slides, trees down and schools closed. Unfortunately, my school is not one of them. If the rain had been snow, no one would be moving down here! Crazy weather! Temps have gone from freezing cold to 60's overnight.

I name all my vehicles too....

My brown Tacoma is Wapati...Chippewa for "elk"...when I was driving her home from the dealer I came upon a herd of elk...they surrounded the truck... definitely a no-brainer

My little Argosy is Missy....short for Mistress...as they guy who remodeled her spent so much time in her that his wife called her the mistress...

Sheryl...thanks for posting a facebook page...

Hope to see/meet you all in March....

Kit

Heck yes. BBQ is hot down here, but everything else is a bit chilly right now. I'm thinking a lot about my Airstream and I know I will plan something in February. Probably have to head down to Ft. Myers to see gma and gpa.

anyone else head down that direction in February???

new at this

Julianne, I'm having trouble knowing how to follow threads and replying, it seems hard to follow it all. Is there a trick to it?

Also, I put a profile pic on but it doesn't show up, do I have to upgrade my account or something?

I know I asked this before, but again, I don't know how to get back to my question and see the answer.

Sheryl
Go to the top menu bar and click on User CP, all the threads you subscribe to should be there - either what you have started or posted to.

I am sure there is a 100 ways to find threads you have posted to as well - but a quick way I do it is to click on my own avatar and then click on find more posts by (your user name here)

If you are bored you can even send yourself a private message or an e-mail - ha that is my dry English humor this morning...

You do know that once you get to know your way around there will be a new upgrade and you have to learn it all over again

Hope that helped a bit at least....as for keeping up - this place can be really really addictive - I had to go to the mayo clinic to be weened from here - and now I only post on a few little threads.

Good luck and keep asking those questions - someone here will always help you out.
