Silver in the City....York, SC

We are excited to be announcing and hosting the 3rd annual "Silver in the City" downtown rally in our hometown of York, SC, population 8500.

Come join us April 15-18, 2021 for this unique event as we wake up on main street.

We will park along both sides of Congress Street (our main street) and in 2 parking lots also located on Congress Street.

This is a boondocking rally so please arrive with empty gray and black tanks, full fresh water tank, and propane. Quiet generators are always welcome.

THURSDAY afternoon we will rendezvous 2 blocks from downtown at the YORK PLACE CAMPUS, 234 Kings Mountain Street. We overnight here, with no facilities but all on pavement. We'll furnish Pizza for supper.

FRIDAY morning start your day with fresh coffee and donuts. Then, at 9:00 we parade into town with Police escort, down Congress Street, to the staging area at 105 Garner Street, 2 blocks away. We will stage the Parking from here.

Parking is easy and fast, we will help you. You may park curbside on Congress St, or in the parking lots. No need to unhitch at either location if you don't want to.

We will have a dump station available on Garner Street.

There is no rally fee, though we hope you will make a generous contribution to our local charitable organization P.A.T.H. People Attempting To Help. This is a multi church out reach organization and a very worthy cause.

The ''official kick off '' will be at 5:00 Friday at the City Market, middle of Congress St.

We will close Congress Street 12:00-5:00 Saturday to facilitate foot traffic.

There are minimal planned activities, we encourage everyone to parooze the streets and neighborhoods, enjoy and support the local shops, watering holes, and eateries....all at your doorstep.

Our little town is excited we are returning for the 3rd time (Covid got #4) and will have the red carpet rolled out. Come help us celebrate small town America.

We had hoped to attend in 2020. Here's hoping 2021 works out for the rally. We'll be checking the calendar and wishing for positive karma. We'll have to decide if this is a trailer rally or a van rally. Nothing like traveling in an Airstream trailer but we really like our Interstate too!

We have plenty of room, on the street or in a parking lot on main street.

Our little town is absolutely beautiful in April, with many blooming Azaleas and Dogwoods. Plus, we have the second largest historical district in SC, second only to Charleston.

All within easy walking of main street.

Did I mention plenty of food and watering holes??? At your doorstep?? And the merchants are eager for us to return??

A good time awaits....and as always....you will like it.

It IS awesome!!! All we need you to do is get here safe and sound. The Town of York will take good care of all of us after that.

Yep, the Rally and the City of York are both pet friendly....always. There are areas of grass all around town. Dogma and Fetch is a very nice Pet Shop located in the center of downtown.

At this point, due to the you know what, we are undecided about the Open House on Saturday afternoon. Probably gonna leave it up to the individual.

I am sure the locals will want a peek inside. Congress Street (Main Street) will be closed to motor traffic from 12-5 on Saturday to facilitate foot traffic.
