Yeah, I think this rally is going to go off no matter how many trailers we get, we'll just have to pay a little more to offset the cost. Either way it will be cheap. I think is was more like $80, and I told Darol I'd cover it if he wants me to. I'm sure we can get enough people as we get closer to the date. I don't plan this far ahead myself usually...

Here's the details on the fees. The "Use FEE" for the group site is $240 for three nights. One set of instructions says a minimum of 10 trailer is required (thus $8 per trailer per night) and another set of instructions says a minumum of 8 trailers per night (thus $10 per night). I figured a minumin of 10 trailers per night at $10 per night just to be safe. So far I think we may have six or seven trailers lined up although no one has confirmed for sure. Guess I need to send out some emails to the likely suspects and grovel for $$$. I hope this rally happens - I wasn't able to make the central Washington rally last weekend and it sounded like it was a good one. Jonathan ("campcollector") was a State Park ranger at this park for a number of years, and would have the straight skivy on what can and can't be done! I would email him as to what is needed.....maybe he can pull a few strings.
By the time of the rally, I'll bet you would have wished to rent the larger group site at SFSP.
FYI, our Art group has scheduled a painting session there in October because it's such a beautiful area! If you haven't been there before, you're missing a real treat!

Tentatively scheduling myself and family to come. I haven't been to Silver Falls in probably 17 years! I remember it being a beautiful place. (I'm an Oregon native, transplanted all over the country and now located in Washington)

HI Darol, Thanks for posting the info. I doubt that they would say too much about the amount of trailers as long as they got thier money. As time gets closer I am sure you will have enough. I just sent you an email. I am in.

I have been to all the forums rallies in the PNW

, and I can say that no one has been shorted on their $ efforts to initiate a rally. In fact, I think there were some folks who made a profit from their efforts......which is OK, since they are spending their time and effort to make it happen! Which brings me to the fact that you brought a number of folks to the Battle Ground State Park rally, a rainy event...........with folks with trailers that you had put a significant amount of work in! What about them? I would love to see their them and their trailers again and see your work......and I would only be a visitor.....which I would gladly pay a fee............ to visit!

Gonna try and swing this one. We have a big fall vacation planned so camping and its expenses must be kept to a minimum. Its soo close though, hard to not go.

Jim and all, There is a $3 day-use fee per vehicle visiting for the day according to the information included with the reservation packet, so plan for that if you're just spending a day visiting. Darol

Hey there; newbie here. If there are still spots open my wife and I are planning on trying to rearrange our schedule to attend, that is if you don’t mind new Airstream owners showing up : ). We have a 68 Sovereign we have been slowly fixing up, and think it would be a blast to see other Airstreams.

OK, people - it's time to fish or cut bait! I have $246 invested in reservation fees for this rally. I need firm commitments from at least 8 trailers per night by May 26th or I'm cancelling and getting a refund. Go back and read my first post for complete details, then email me for an address to send your check. I won't cash any checks until I have 8 reservations. If I don't get 8 reservations, your checks will be returned. Sorry to be blunt - but let's have some ACTION! Darol

There are 5 signed up already I would think 8 should be an easy deal as the date gets closer.

This is a quick post to get this rally back on the front page. I'm headed down to the park tomorrow to check out the site. I'll have a report tomorrow evening. As of today, I have only 2 reservations in hand. The deadline of May 26 is approaching rapidly. If you're planning to attent, I'd suggest getting your reservation fee in soon. Darol
