looking forward....
Well, in the last 24 hours we went from cancelling all days to modifying our arrival, so we are getting excited to meet you all. We will leave Denver around 10:00 am on Friday. Thinking 5 pm arrival.
Mike has been out reworking heat ducts and dinette structures. We haven't moved her on the road this year, we'll do that tomorrow, no need to do this too early, huh?

un-scheduled business event
due to an unexpected (or wanted) acceleration of project ,from middle of july, to last week, I just completed my portion on weds. and flew back into sacramento late last night. barbara and I are both totally heartsick over missing this rally. we both have been looking forward to our first rally, and real excursion in our argosy. and to such a beutiful place as new mexico.I still had hoped to pull it off , but time was not on my side. I have space 39 reserved and paid for and would like to donate to the group to use as they wish, it is a pull thru so any last minute streamers, or any early arrivals that want to switch sites be our guest it is paid in full thru 21st I will contact the park office when they open this morning and find out the procedure I can forward all reservation and confirmation # to you my toll free # to mobile phone is 1-888-770-9748 call any time or email to robertbobellis@hotmail.com again will miss meeting all of you . another time, another place. mr. cappuccino

And a good time was had by all
It was a great time. Neat to be at the first A/S gathering.
The trip back was literally down hill for us so we got back at 8:30 pm. Not too bad. Didn't loose any parts, other than the rear belly skin is draggin'.

Great time
Mike and I enjoyed meeting all of you who attended the rally this weekend in NM.
The open house was great to see everyone's home, new and older and in all stages of resoration. Thanks for allowing us in.
Now I am scared, I just came back from the library with all these books on fulltiming...
I got some nice pictures from the weekend and I have sent them to Shari, hopefully she will post in the best place. I have a great picture of Peter so all can see this guy. Nice one too of John.
See ya!

What a great rally! Jean and I both really enjoyed meeting everyone. We finally tore ourselves away from Lake Heron on Monday and are now in an RV park in Moab, UT.
We will stay here a few days, then on to Montana. Hope everyone has a great summer.

This was our first rally in our first trailer on its first trip. We towed the 67 A/S TW 800 miles over 10000 + foot passes in strong gusty winds (you had to lean to stand). It was all uneventfull and completly worth it.
A friend told me that, "You have to surround yourself with good people to be happy." We were very happy at the rally.

Great time
We had a great time as well. Nice to meet folks from the forum and put faces with the names. In Peter's case though I'm still not sure...
This event will be hard to beat: the nightly social hour was longer each evening, we felt right at home inside everyone's rig during the open house, and I'm still full from the the potluck. John was the best host and Shari was the greatest organizer, although neither one will admit it.
Say, Don from east TX, when are you gonna get a better tow rig?

Yeah - we really really really really had a great time. Amazing we gathered as only knowing each other from this list and left as what I'm sure will be lifetime friends - really cool.
Now I sit in an ugly motel room in Las Vegas NM for a work project thing thinking about my next Airstream trip.
Les, I passed you on the highway between Durango and Pagosa this morning. Moab - its one of my very favorite places - how bout all meeting there sometime??
Brad - looked up your number last night - in 1961 it was registered to someone by the name of Hainline - for some reason the address or first names do not appear in the book. I'm going through page by page because I have found typos. If I don't find it you can check with the secretarial services in Jackson Center - they have all the books ever printed. I won't forget to send you the catalog.

Hey guys ~
Since the airstreamphotos.com is still not up to speed from "the crash of 2003", I'm building a webpage of our pictures. If anybody has some they would like to share, zip them up and send them to me at maxwell@insideout-design.net and I will include them ~

Nice Job!
Shari, What a great 'movie' of the rally, captions, et al. Thanks for supplying the site space. Really cute!
Thanks to Rob and Shari for the wonderful Grand Marnier french toast breakfast, her organization of getting us all there and having so much fun.

Bugs
On a different topic....
Anyone @ the ralley get small bug bites that are still red?
I have them mostly on my legs however, the red spots are on my arms and back of my neck.
What the heck are those critters?

Maybe Chiggers?
But Rob thinks they are something else...little black flying bugs (he saw the little $*#%@+&'s biting him!), whereas Chiggers are little red crawling bugs...so who knows? But they itch like CRAZY!!!

Well,
So many people! We've been outdone. It looks like twice the amount at our Austin Forum meet in March, but of course you can't count Peter, he belongs to us. Weather looked great! Good timing as well, early in the summer, last time I went west everything was on fire, got to be a drag! Someday this may be compared to the first WBCCI International, wherever it was I know it was small and grew and grew. How many feet were you all at? The only thing I hate about the mountains is getting over the altitude headaches. Where's that pic of your host, John??
