I just got a funny e-mail so here is the answer to the question:

For those of you who are still trying to figure out how to "turn on" the
light flashing shot glass that I gifted to everyone at the potluck,

they are "liquid activated" which means no buttons to push or dials to turn.
Just pour yourself something and you'll be flashing away.

And if you didn't get one, I will be fully restocked by next year!

Cheers!

Well, I hope for my sake and Tim Can, that they fix that smell before we get to the rally next year. Sometimes, they don't get to those problems real fast. But, I would think that it will be resolved by then.

Just hopin..............

Ditto, Martha, I was thinking that they've got a whole year to fix whatever problem they have!

We'll hope that they can get it together so we'll have an extra campsite.

When Warren looked it up he said "it will be out of commission for 2009."

Odd. Maybe they have something else in mind.

So I'm new to this group, if you will have me. I know Uwe and he said that I would fit right in. I have a '65 Globetrotter and live in Woodland Hills, CA. I have been going to the Kern River for many many years. In fact I was there two weeks before your recent trip with my trailer dry camping. I just booked spot #421 for Friday thru Monday Oct.'09. I tried to get in on your last trip, but it was impossible. Hope to get to know you guys and gals. Kenny

Kennyp,

Welcome to the party. Why wait til Oct.09? Get on the Calstreamers rally and general yak thread and join in on any or all of our other rallies.

Way to go Kenny.
And welcome.
You've scored an excellent spot with a great group.
Hope we don't have to wait a whole year to meet you.
Watch these forum threads for other CA Streamer Rallies coming up.
See you soon...

And you trust Uwe? Just kidding, since he is my brother from another mother. We love new people at the Rallys, the last two at Rivernook were outstanding, and I don't think we have had one newbie who isn't returning, and that says quite a bit.

Wow, crkwolf, it has been a while since you have been out of the den, wish you would visit the forum more often. Thanks for the thumbs up.

She escaped the closet I keep her prisoner in.

Hey, how else could I keep such a wonderful woman around?

I've become good at picking locks with the help of Deeohgee. It's amazing how far feeding a dog goes.

I read the posts I just haven't posted anything in a while.

When we made our reservations - i mentioned the question about 443 - i was talking to the owner, not warren. She said they keep it to use in case they have overbooked. She penciled our name into that spot if they do not have this problem .......so maybe that helps clear up it's proposed non use - it will certainly be an airstream in that spot - unless they overbook........happy fall to all! Teke
