We're home and drying out. We had a blast! It was great to meet new streamers and take over the g loop. I love the coast - even when it rains.
Campcollector - does your insurance carrier know what you do for fun camping? We really enjoyed the homemade almond brittle (courtesy of Mona and Marc's kids ) on the way home. We caught up to Norbert around Arlington WA - waved and then blew by.
Where are we going next time? How about Maryhill state park near hood river? Anyone been there?

We might want to check out Deschutes State Park, it is just a few miles west of the Dalles. Maybe Wascobob could check it out for us. But I'm sure where ever we end up, we will have a rockin' time.

I think we should head east for the next trip. We keep making you easterners come over to the west side, so turn about is fair play!

We had a great time at Beverly Beach. What a wonderful group of people to meet and visit with. It was a great first rally for us "newbie" Airstreamers.
Here is a link to a gallery of some of the pictures I took:

A great weekend !
A big thank you to Janet and Gary ! The chili feed was great and so was breakfast Sunday morning. It was good to see the people I knew again plus it was great too meet all the "new to me" faces. Jonathan(campcollector) supplied the firewood, a huge firering and the tables. Thanks ! I had a great time and so did my friend Theo. We may convert him yet . I posted all of the pictures I took here : Beverly Beach Rally Pics enjoy ! The pumpkins from the carving contest are there, most of the trailers that were there and Theo and I's trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
We sure lucked out on the weather. Sunny Saturday and part of Sunday ! Woo Hoo !
I am going to get at least a couple more short trips in before the end of the year. I'd be up for doing an informal forum getogether.
I wouldn't mind heading east. The Descutes park is small but, depending on attendance it would do. It is a nice place. I have been there a couple times.
Maryhill is much larger. I haven't been there yet but I can check it out. Maybe tomorrow since I will be up there. Plus, Janet, the winery is very close. I bet they have a nice Merlot waiting for ya !
Chris

Great pic's Chris. Looks like everyone had a great time. That area of the state is gorgeous. Too bad I'll be up your way a weekend too late. Flying into Portland on Thursday AM. Heading out to Cannon Beach. Long overdue trip.

Big kudos to Janet and Janet's Husband for being such excellent hosts! Had a lot of fun putting faces to forum nicknames.

Hope you had a good time
Well, we were disappointed that we couldn't make the rally at the coast. I had a previous commitment in Eastern Washington with deer population control at our log cabin. We really enjoyed the Trout Lake rally and are planning to go next year. I did pass WascoBob on Sunday but he was going back to Wasco and I was headed back to Battle Ground. See you at the next one.

Hi Ron and Christie (herbigrf)! Yes Ron, we did see you heading west but it took me a little while to figure out who it was. You may have noticed a van with a big AS following closely behind it going my way, that was norbert from the Chicago area headed home. And yes, you did miss a really good rally but hopefully we will see you at the next one!
Yes guys, I will take a look at both Deschutes and Maryhill Parks and report back. If you are thinking of a rally in this part of the world in the next few months, keep in mind the weather can be really good or really bad on any given weekend. Anyway I will check it out.

It was fantastic!
I was going to post pics, but everyone has it summed up well! (Whose are those kids on everyone's back? ) Thank you everyone for such a great time - Janet and Gary are Rally Gods!
I'll check out the Maryhill thread - it's a great area (although windy too).

I would just like to thank all of you who helped to make this rally the success it was. We could not do it with out you.
People in the Scullery Crews, The Chefs and Sou-Chefs, The Roadies who helped put up the show and tear it down, The Pyro-Technician, The Animal Wranglers, The "Pyro-Technician Wranglers", The People who showed up with words of encouragement.
You just had to be there to believe it.
Janet and I Thank You All.
