GA Campers : October 2011, Pirate Fest, Tybee

If any Georgia Airstream campers are interested in assisting with planning a get together next year for Pirate Fest let me know. It's held in October over Columbus Day Weekend on Tybee Island, GA. For this year check out the web sites for the event to see what goes on. Otherwise, we will go and report back with pictures on how it went.

From Atlanta it's around a six hour tow and about a 1/2 tank of diesel for the vehicle. Full hookups at Rivers End Campground on the island with easy bike riding anywhere.

If anyone goes this year in October report back on how it went. Otherwise I will be making reservations after the first of the year for the Airstream to head that way next October.

Tybee Island Pirate Festival

We made our reservations! We are already beginning to think of pirate outfits for the event. The best place to stay is Rivers End Campground, run by the City of Tybee. It's an easy bike ride from there to anywhere in town. Even though this event is not until October, 2011, if you wait too long the campground will fill up and you will be out of luck. Rivers End is the only RV campground on the island. If you make it be sure and stop by for a visit.
