Cool. I always bring my crocheting!

I used their on-line reservation and booked a site... But I don't know which one ??? It asked what my preferred sites were and I entered 146, 144, and 141, but when I got to the final page it said "BookYourSite.com does not guarantee availability of a specific site at this campground..." so I guess it will be a surprise

See you there (I hope )

I just remembered something from my past.
when I belonged to a flying club about 12 years ago we had a online rezzie system that showed the different aircrafts availability, when you booked the plane the system deleated the plane from the schedule. no money involved.
sounds like casini is some sort of offshoot of this, it will do the scheduling but then casini runs the credit card info thru their system. some kinda antiquated system, just guessing,
Think I'll bring the glider back this year, was too hung over last year to realize that when I bunjie launched it the rx battery pack slid back in the hold. duh, tailheavy , jeepers. might bring something else also.
still awaiting my site confirmation, it's calming to know my site is no longer available, I just hope it gets assigned to me. ROFLMAO.

With all of your coaches looking pretty much the same, has anyone stumbled into the wrong one after an evening of lodge?

Hi all,

I have confirmation for my site. Zugbug is in 147. I had to call to fix my res cause I messed it up so that's why I received my confirmation already. And I did get my first pick.

Pidget , we were not at the rally last year. Deciding to hit Reno instead, which was a blast.
I would like to see what your crocheting.

And Barbie, webspinner

We all pitched in and gifted our daughter with a wheel this Christmas, really would love to see your work too.

Hope April comes fast.

I'm afraid so! I haven't been to the session in Menlo Park (someone told me it's moved fairly recently), but when I'm in the Bay Area, I usually play at the San Jose session at O'Flaherty's on Sunday and Tuesday evenings.

If we haven't heard from them after making the reservation online within a few hours, are we supposed to call them to check and see if our reservation was made?

eta: I decided to email them directly to see. I think the disconnect is that they're using a reservation system, and they're supposed to get an email from the reservation system that a reservation request was made, and then they're supposed to email the customer to confirm the slot and booking. Somewhere in there, it's not happening. If I don't hear from someone by email by 11 am tomorrow, I'll start calling.

We're looking forward to our first rally with you all in April-site # tbd...

I will actually be by/at Casini tomorrow/Wed if anyone needs me to go in person & schmooze the management, confirm site #'s, take photos, etc.

Here's a little photo from just up river of Casini taken a few days ago...let's hope the weather looks like this come April!

I think I successfully made an online reservation. Can't remember which site I requested. I hope Casini will send a confirmation. Maybe I'll call tomorrow to double check. I love this rally, can't wait. I'm arriving on the 11th, leaving on the 15th.

Maybe take in the map as we know it and confirm, if that's possible? Otherwise we'll all be calling 'em - which kind of defeats their purpose of using a service, I'd guess!

Man. I sure hope the folks in the mystery spots know there's going to be a rally of silver happening all around them, if they're not streamers. TBH, I'd be kind of irritated no one on staff told me, if it was me!

So here's the down low on the whole deal.
Casini has been telling folks for some time that they will not take rezzies on the tele and we must wait for the online system to boot up. We're not the only ones trying to get sites. Casini has forced themselves into a ton of unnecessary work , IMHO. The system is trying to make rezzies for the WHOLE summer, there just ain't enough bandwith, so to say.Anyway I think they made a huge error with the way this is turning out. So I'll just sit back and see what happens, there are always plenty of sites available, if I don't get one of my choices I'll just double park in Roberts site. He always has cold beer.

They're probably just backlogged by the opening of their online registration. They still have all the rest of the chores to take care of around the place, after all. If we're patient, I'm sure they'll get to all the reservations in good time.
