Big D,
In which section of the campground will we stay? We may go early. Someone mentioned the site up on the hill. Its the area where last year several disgruntle campers called the cops on poor Doorgunner. Something to do with potatoes as I recall. Its all a blurrrrrrrr

mr otters,
we will be camping in the same loops as last year, not the group area. redondo vista campground. i think the "hill" that was mentioned would be the hill dg parked on top in loop B.
see you soon.

We are planning on arriving thursday or friday. Do we need to make reservations in order to be in the redondo loops?

This sounds like it's going to be a great Rally, well attended, and well planned! Too bad we missed the date by one vote...we'll miss you guys! Unfortunately 4 of the SoCal crowd already had reservations elsewhere.

Reservations aren't required for any of the redondo loops. You can like a few of us have, make reservations in the A loop, but otherwise first come first served. Post any further questions, one of us will be happy to reply. See you soon, Jeff

Thanks for the invite Tim. I'll talk to Ron and when we figure out when we'll be able to leave, we'll let you know. We just got back from the Lone Pine Western Film Festival and Yosemite. We cleaned the trailer and are ready to go again. Can wait.

Rosemary and I had marked our calendar for a return trip to Lake San Antonio. We had planned to be in wait-until-the-new-house-is-built mode, but given the weakness of the real estate market here in AZ relative to CA, we bought instead. Now the tasks of remodeling are so all-consuming that regretably we will have to miss this year's gathering.
Best wishes to all for a terrific rally in wonderful Monterey County.
Perhaps we can catch up again at the winter or spring rallies. We're just next door and will be anxious to get back on the circuit soon.
Cheers to all!!!

Hi all, first a big thanks to Jeff "CoastalView" for following up with me regarding attending the Lake San Antonio rally. Alas, I cannot attend do to an office move that I am obligated to perform that weekend. I'm still the new mom of a new bambi and eager to connect with you all. I hope you'll put me on the invite list for the next one!

tarantula errrr..turkey fun fact
not to forget that there are other creatures at LSA, this one is in honor of the wild turkeys who run through the campground...
Quote:
The idea that Benjamin Franklin preferred the Turkey as the national bird of the United States comes from a letter he wrote to his daughter in 1784 criticizing the choice of the Eagle as the national bird and suggesting that a Turkey would have made a better alternative.

There is a flock of 10 or so turkeys where we live. If only they were uglier to chase the deer from our plants. Well, maybe not the fawns. Tarantulas will be a change for us. Do we have to lock up our 'bear' food for tarantulas....turkeys?

Where did you ever get that idea? That's why LL is riding shotgun this time!
The difference between a convoy and a caravan- a caravan is a group of lost souls following another lost soul usually without communication. A convoy is a group of individuals that travel together talking on the cb usually following someone with a rubber duck mounted on the hood. DG

SO, placing a rubber ducky on the hood of the burb will give you more confidence in yourself?
