DG,

If the 2X12s don't make the grade, not to worry, We will get you out, I will just throw the Mudders on the truck, slip it into low 4X4, and slam the pedal. And then after we get you out we will all play in the big mud mess we are gonna make trying to clean everything off.......then, assuming we gots some of the female types hanging around, you can be the judge of the muddy t-shirt contest.

How bout I just bring a bunch of mud with me to Cazini. Let the gals sort it out!! ( loosing points rapidly) DG On a side note the mare was out in the big arena showing off her 6 day old! what a sight to see the two of them trotting around in unison! Caused quite a stir among the other horses. It's all so good.

Hi, Otters. You are right; Every time I tried to convert from English to French it came out different. And when I tried to reverse it from French back to English it was even more different. That is one reason that I haven't actually put this name on my trailer yet. Although that is what we want. And how do you accent the "a"?

And speaking of the French, I think I'll bring some good ol' fashioned Boston Baked Beans to the potluck.

Jinx? What Jinx??

I hope your message wasn't a premonition... I have completed my pre-Rally checklist, and nothing broke, failed, leaked or exploded... We have power, water-tightness, hot water and the beloved Rasta-Flamingo ready to roll Friday morning... Hoping to rumble through SFO around 11 AM and arrive at Casini around 1:30 PM..

For sport, I removed the slideout pantry unit, found some unattractive things on the floor and behind it causing occasional blockages, and lubed the rails and rollers. Also added the insulated foil covers for Fantastic Fans, so we can sleep later in the morning... The electric blanket added after Joshua Tree has been tested and works fine...

We may be a liter or two short of Tequila, but I am hopeful someone else will bring supplies to keep the sacred Margy Balls flowing.. (We're good with salt, cups and ice...) And Cam, we'll bring an extra lantern and some flashlights if your power unit fails to come back to life...

Ditched out of work early (passed off new employee training to someone else...ya gotta love delegating) and I am now severely overpacking. (You do need to be prepared in case you decide to stay for a month or two.) I threw in Yolf...a lawn golf game best played while enjoying refreshing beverages. And I may have the most overdecorated camp site in silver town...next to Kevbo that is. Hey I am next to Kevbo. Well there you go.

[quote=Big Dee]

I am trying to keep up the potluck list but I think I missed some. Ingrid, didn't I read you were bringing a fruit salad? Did I miss something?

Hi Big Dee, yep I'll bring a fruit salad and a pie, if I can swing the pie. Fruit salad for sure. I have a big bottle of Ketel One vodka to donate to the debauchery and I'll bring my margi-ball, in case it's needed.

I'm sooo happy on that weather report. I need this rally! Our fence toppled over on the trailer because of the rain and I need some encouragement and some fun. Good news is no damage, not a scratch, and hey, we are under a roof and have four walls. Plus the fence needed a new foundation under it anyway.

If anyone ends up sans-trailer for any reason, come hang out in the red tent!

Hey Bam,
We'll be getting there Thurs. and hope you don't mind sharing Ed again, because we've decided to leave our barking maniacs at home. For some reason they've really been going at it. Now they're running around the yard craning their necks to bark at the hawks! I'm waiting for a collision. Or an annoyed red-tail doing a carry-off.
Just did a costco run and getting ready to load up the Rollertoaster. Love the pre-fun...if that jinx doesn't hit us!
Would also love any travel tips from any of you Wednesday early birds.
Marian, I heard that there is decent flyfishing in the area, but not sure where I got the info.
Safe travels,
Janet

Marian (99) and I (and Jacques the DDB) will arrive Thursday. We'll bring a spicy cumin pilaf to the Thursday mini-potluck dinner.

What else can we bring?

the night B4 i left for 29 palms my furnace conked out... thank goodness it was only 18 degrees, i could have froozen my smiles off had it not been for the Times...

anyway...

i had my own jinx 2day!

when i ordered my AS, i got the high capacity water weater installed because the girls are always complaining about not having enough hot water for there hair products, yak, yak, yak...

my super duper water heater died this afternoon with a bang!

my poor dreamstream was a mess!

thank goodness i was able to react in time!

i don't know how those boys at the factory did it... but three hours later, i had a quick recovery 60 gallon unit out and replaced. all the neighboors are showering and hair producting now...

what next? no drycleaning? lack of adult beverages?

gawd, under beveraged... ACK!!!
