Pinkies
Paula; what happened to the pink abs? I remember they were plentiful 30 years ago, we needed small crow bars to pry them loose. I cannot recall ever having the green ones. Sure is tasty, You make it sound so easy to "catch" them. Guess that's cause Steve is doing the catchin. and then you do the cookin- nice teamwork. I got some hi test coffee goin this morning already been outside flyin for 45 minutes and didn't break anything, checking W&B and frame view, changing props, aligning control surfaces. ADIDAS all day I dream about something. DG

More Than...
less than 25 rigs is a rally.

Yep, I got spot #9. The more I read about this rally the better it sounded, so we're going to make a big trip out of it.

Rumor has it that when Kevbo signs up for a rally it always surpasses the requirements for a convention.....I think it is called a PAAAAARTYYYYYY.

My Dad used to use the term Rig a ma row. Always wondered what that meant. Then again if it were Rig a ma roe, then we'ld have something right up codybears ally. Abalone with sea urchin roe- now we're talkin, talkin out loud. oh yea with sweet sourdough bread and mounds of butter maybee a rib eye and some Zin.
so if we all park in alignment that would be a row; f we are scattered about that would be rogue, the greek derivitive of roe, and there you have it.

Set me a place! I'll bring along an avocado-orange-arugula salad just to help the zin along in reaming out the carotids.
Paula, those are fabulous pictures. Must have been a little hairy waiting for Steve to emerge from the surging surf with that great catch.
Hope you savored every bite!

Convention Banquet
The time must be a gettin close. The 'talk' of FOOD has picked up. A slight change in our pot luck contribution. I could not repair our oven as I promised Lynn so she shifted into Plan B mode. Instead of Pastie Pie Lynn has pre prepared 50+ mini pasties! They are in the freezer now and we will cook them just before we leave. A kind Rally co-member has offered his oven for the warm-up for the pot-luck. We are traveling to Grass Valley tomorrow to enjoy a Pastie lunch with my high school buddy and his wife.
Good to 'see' you again Kevbo.

Hi, codybear. Nice pictures of your dinner. I, Bob, like the salad with avocados and eggs. Just add some Catalina dressing. And I think the Abaloney shells are really neat. I personally don't eat much dead fish, But my wife, Lee, says that she really loves Abaloney and will eat it raw [sashimi] or cooked twelve different ways. Lee says that's the biggest Abaloney she ever saw. She also asked me if you were going to be at Casini Ranch. I wonder why.

Firewood, Weather, Fun
conventioneers,
spent friday making a list.
started saturday to "run" the list.
my drill:
empty out 'stream
do all trailer laundry
take inventory of trailer
make grocery list
make misc. list of required non food items
purchase propane
clean interior of trailer
repack interior of trailer
clean interior of trailer
prepare list for stuff to pack in back of truck
prepare list for stuff in front of truck
call feed store and have feed delivered to ranch
clean barn and corrals
laundry
pack everything
wash exterior of trailer
wash int and ext of truck
service truck
the all important hair cut
dry cleaning - drop off, pickup
clean house (who wants to come home to a trashed house?)
this leads me into FIREWOOD...
i'm bringing some firewood, but everybody should bring a little. if everbody brought a little, we would have a lot. mines organic ranch home grown. i'm just limited on how much i can stuff in the back 'o the truck w/ all the other stuff i'm stuffing.
weather looks like it's going to be good.
i have the corn toss game (horse shoes), an exterior BLASTO MATIC STEREO, ice chest and assorted other stuff....
have i missed anything?
i'm trying hard to keep my mind limber on a strict regiment of drugs and alcohol...

My vote would be a bigger truck, an aluminum Ark would suggest more animals and that would mean even more s**t. Then you would still need an even bigger truck. Now I am starting to ramble for no good reason.....I guess I am just preparing for Casini....emotionally.

sure hope so
I sure hope the weather is good, it's sprinkling out right now. We got rained out on a bike trip last weekend and I don't know how much more indoors I can stand. I had planned to finish some driveway work which would make trailer progress possible. UGH!
I'll bring firewood too. If it rains at Casini, I don't know if we're staying the weekend.
I might throw my bike in the back of the truck, or my hiking boots...or both...anyone wanna go geocaching with me?

On the Road
We started out today. Yahoo. The 3 month diet/bet is over. We are camped at Morro Bay. I have meetings in SLO on Monday and Tuesday. Work related but very low key. We are going to spend a couple of nights with the Slowolfs in Atascadero and then on to Casini. Life is good. The new Fantastic Fans are blowin'. The new double Kwikee step is steppin' and the Margie's are just as good as I remember before the diet. Two minor issues. Mickey the Cat got loose for a little while. Not fun in a strange RV park. We finallly got him corraled, but guess who else got out? Yep, that's a shot of Peeps up in the tree (who knew he could fly) with the famous Morro Rock in the background. He eventually came to his senses and returned to the comforts of the moho. See you all in a few days. Ron
