On our trip to Rio Vista this weekend we went by Santa Rosa (and took 12). There is some serious bridge construction in SR before River road for you Southerners (maybe me too- I forget now)- anyway, be prepared for stop and go- also, maybe make it a goal to avoid commute times??!!! SR is bad- but this makes it MUCH worse!

Cat Tranquilizers

Say - does anybody have any tips for traveling with a cat who REALLY doesn't like it? Any cat tranquilizers out there (besides vodka).

We travel with TTcat all over the country and she's just as happy traveling in the trailer as in at home. She has a little cubby space under the bed with fluffy blankets and that's where she stays during towing.
When we first Airstreaming, I was worried like you as well. So I went to the vet and asked for some motion sickness pills just in case she went crazy. That will help relax the kitty during travel, same way you will do if you fly with your pets. Check it out with your vet.

Good luck. We can have a cat party....at Casini...

All inclusive,drinking & software

Ms. Bam; I see you started a thread about having a friend with sob. My goodness girl- invite her to Cazini!! The beauty of having friends and a good time should not be limited to what you drag around IMHO. On another note; I tried the BAchs Rescue remedy last night. 2 oz. mixed with tonic water over ice. Good night Irene. May have to slip a little of this into a margie ball. And hows the software situation Finncrew? DG

Mr. DG,
Never tried the BAchs Rescue remedy before, but since quite a few of you recommend it, I will have to get some...will it work on teenage girls...during one of those F.O.R. moments (Fulll of Resentment)???

Hey Bam,

We've got to get Murphy the Wheaton Terrier on the pet list.

I'm coming up on Thursday evening too. Shhh, don't tell anybody at school that I'll be playing hooky.

I just might use it on myself! I hate long drives and will take hard drugs to make them better (for everyone). Good thing Casini is close.

And hows the software situation Finncrew? DG

Dear Mr. D.Gunner~

Sorry for late reply, just home from Pima Air Museum, (looking for an easy answer to all routing problems!) After another outing with my nagigating, Jim is camping out @ Circuit City waiting for delivery/installation.

Leslie

ps The drive from Tucson to SD was exciting, first time towing on invisable, sand covered road!

Pima is on my list of to do's! So then Jim is waiting for the new model just released huh. I hear this one tells you where to go from the back seat!! Mare update- nothing yet, will post pics upon delivery. I think the only thing cuter than a new colt is a newborn rhino. Saw one at San Diego Zoo.

Let us hope 'Nibbles' does not find his way up the river and fall madly in love with the ''silver seals''that he discovers!

Thumbs up spot #123 - SOB

Hey Y'all - they put me in spot #123 , I guess SOB cancelled,
(or didn't want to deal with Margi Ball Maddness).

Either way, I'm arriving on Thursday sometime...

Go figure, I've got to go to the Russian River to meet my neighbors, Neil & Lynn!

Looking forward to it!

Cheers,
Kristiana

P.S. Requests on what I can bring to the potluck, etc?

How 'bout Veggie Lasagna for 100?

Kristiana-

Glad to see you're joining Party Central in central area at the Ranch....

Just joking about Lasagna (sort of..) as I suspect vintage Airstream ovens can't really heat something that large...

As much as I admire Dee's efforts to "organize" I feel it's worth pointing out that there often tends to be a LOT of food at Forum potluck dinners, and thus desserts may be less popular than main dishes, since many of us overdo first run through the line and leave little room for pies, cookies, cakes and ice cream.. (though it could just be a personal issue... ) Might also be fine to bring munchies for cocktail hour at 4:30 to 5-ish...

Even with picnic tables at Casini, we may need to issue "First Call" to bring tables for serviing and sitting as well, since I'm not sure every site has a table we can move around...

Doubt the current rain will leave enough water for mud puddles for the bicycle riders.. Maybe it will rain one more time before the 28th...

hmmmm...

I don't see a fruit salad on the list. I think I'll do that instead of cookies, unless that's covered? Oh and we're definitely coming Friday through Sunday instead of just for Saturday.

Paula, please don't abandon the dessert menu...I can never have enough of your sweet offering...even for someone that doesn't eat much sweet like me.... SERIOUSLY...

I am bringing "Coke addict craved baked ham" which is "multi-dimensional", that is both great for dinner, and perfect for breakfast, and if there's still left over, we can add some pineapple with it for snack at happy hour...needless to say, I am not taking any home with me...anyone...hear me???????? Sorry, Cabin Fever??? I really need to go camping soon....
