Well, it took you 3 tries to ask your question. Kudos on perserverence. As for our Tradewind I just now came in from placing the last rivet in the rear belly pan. YAY! I had replaced most of the floor under the bathroom and installed a new black tank. I told Lynn this afternoon that if we needed up and leave with the TW in the morning we can. YAY! All that is left is cosemetic, ie; replace floor tile in the bathroom, replace the lower trim around the rear and vulcum the seams, clean up other sloppy vulcum and SILICONE (!) work done by a PO. Stuff like that. The only fix-it left would be to get the oven working so Lynn can bake our pot luck contribution, Cornish Pasty Pie. AND the only other real thing I would like to accomplish before Casini is to make room behind the propane tanks for the spare tire. Our TV is a convertible so no PU bed to throw that into. Lynn has made the beds with the Airstream and flamingo sheets so she is ready.

Have any of you all done anything major to your Airstreams over the winter?

Neil and Lynn.

More Peeps

I thought for sure someone would have said something about the Giant Peep at Pollardville. So here's my pet peep-merlot- doing his thing. 2 pics, during the act and caught in the act. AND why are the pets names in big letters anyway, huh?huh? turning into a mutt show, I'll turn merlot loose on them and he can dive bomb em all and peck their heads. yea a head pecker or would that be the other way around? LMAO.

Pollardville.

The big PEEP is a landmark. Maybe we should acquire it as a Forum Rally mascot. It could surplant that fruitcake I have been reading about. Of course we would need to saddle (is that a COWBOY term?) some unfortunate member to transport it to each Rally. I 'think' Lynn would rather the Peep over flamingos.
Neil.
PS; Pollardville's chicken dinners were great! I hear the restaurant will be open for a short while. Just the Ghost Town is closed now. That's what I hear.

But- anholman, did you do all that work with your interior still in, including your bathroom fixtures??

I sure did. I did not feel that I had the time to remove and reinstall the interior. I believe I was correct. However, I did have to install the new floor from underneath in sections. I could not get all the damaged floor replaced but I got the important section...under the toilet. Before installing the new sections I coated both sides and edges with fiberglass resin. THIS floor will outlast the trailer. I done GOOD! The new floor is solid. Of course I installed a new black tank as the old one split. I was most happy to find NO frame deterioration. A little surface rust here and there which I wire brushed and primed.

So good to hear from you Kevbo. Ron and I stopped in at the 4CU Tucson Rally this weekend, and everyone there was concerned that they hadn't heard from you lately. You're a legend. We're down in Tombstone now, then up to Northern Az, and plan to be back in time for Casini. Peep is excited and looking forward to the reunion with "his people".

Pu Pu Platters

Hey everyone, look what I found at Raley's supermarket today. These little wine and cheeze plates. Kinda cool, has a cut out for the stem on your wine glass and a small area for appetizers. So I gave it the test today. Carry your wine and other stuff with one hand and use your other hand for other things, picture takin, starting lug nuts, pumpin up the bottle jack. eat, drink and be happy! DG

Mr flycaster,

We did 32 IFFI bleeps at that chopper, all negative. But no one dropped any grenades on us. It must not have been doorgunner.

AHHEM, If you started the lug nuts with that wine better re-tighten them today.

Thanks for thinking of me

Azfly; thanks for thinking of me when you saw that old army ch-47 fly overhead. I was in the smaller Boeing Vertol CH-46. USMC combat version.I'll see if I can load a 1970 pic for you. From the ground the 46 and 47 look somewhat alike to the casual observer. Easy difference is the 46 has tricycle gear the beheamoth 47 has 4. Also the 47's used 7.62 M-60's, We used Aircooled 50 cal. Anyway I would hope that whenever anyone sees a whirlybird hacking up the air they would think of all our service people, men and women, young and old and take a brief moment to think of their situation. Yes Paula KFC, after dealing with me tires I needed a little comfort food! Sorry pics would not load to big. And the only thing I would drop on a Rally site would be mass quantities of beer, wine, chicken and meat!! DG

Saturday a big whirly bird, The 4 landing gear you described, flew low, low over our house. You are right...I couldn't help but think of those flying them and their missions past, present and future. Thanks, DG, for your contributions.

Now, may I ask would it be sacreligious to carry beer in a wine glass so I could make use of the wine/glass carry plate from Raley's?

Say, I can't recall if that w-bird flew over after you left or not. Did you have anything to do with that flyover?
