Wow! Sounds like a great trip... wish it fit into our schedule. For some strange reason I've never visited that part of the state, but it's been on our "must visit list" for quite a while.

most people haven't visited either and that's why i head to this part of the state every summer. it's the opposite of congestion. it's nice to get away from congestion and crowds for a couple weeks. and it's spectacularly beautiful with crystal clear air. i can't wait to head back there. lets see.....21 days and counting!

We are going to be there!
We just got our Airstream a few weeks ago but unfortunately will be unable to bring it due to much work needed, none the least of which is new axles. We hope to come and meet you nice people and get some ideas for ours.

1 Week to Go!!!
I'm really excited to get on the road. i have to do a lot of shopping next week because there won't be any shopping once i get up there. so i have reservations for #109 at Durango RV Resort for 8/1. And for #5 at Lassen KOA for 8/2-8/5. Cam will be next to me. so join us if anyone wants to meet up a little earlier. the lassen KOA gets rave reviews so can't wait to see it.
if i don't see you early then i will see you at gurnsey creek campground at the trout group loop (7 sites) on wednesday.

If, Lynn and I......and Lizzy decide to go directly to Gurnsey a day or so early is there a problem getting reservations in the Trout Loop...I think that's what you said? We ARE the greeters y'know.

early arrival shouldn't be a problem, neil, as the campground should be near deserted during the week. you may have to explain that you are with the group coming in on wednesday. glad you will be there to greet us.

Booooo Hoooo Hooooo.... We can't make the trip after all. My better half is 5 months pregnant and has canceled all of the remaining trips. I keep telling her I will do every thing (like normal), she can even have the bed to her self. But she still says it's to hard on her. I say what ever...lol. I hope you all have a great time and enjoy the great weather your going to have.

Well....we are still planning to meet the group at Gurnsey Creek! The plan now is to try and head up there on Aug 4th (a day early), so we can assist Neil, Lynn, and Lizzy with the responsibility of "greeting."
Just curious...what route are most folks using to get there? I was just thinking of heading to Chico via Hwy 65/70, then taking Hwy 32 up to Hwy 44.
