neighborhood potluck with trailers!
just got back in from a little informal campout/pot luck we had.
as some of you know my neighbors and fellow forum members dave and pat just got their first trailer. it is a very nice argosy 6 metre.
they have been undergoing as we call it "airstream boot camp" for the last month! after getting the trailers safety needs addressed, i suggested we try a nearby county park for a trial run. just something near home to facilitate parts runs or other needs.
after thinking about it for a bit, pat suggested we invite all our neighbors for a potluck. and after thinking about a potluck i decided to get the cook involved A.K.A. norbert!
we chose lake farm county park south of madison, it is dane county's newest campground. very nice level sites with electric and a nice shelter with a small playground.
we ended up with about half of the block showing up and had one heck of a good time! (i also think we may have made a few converts to the shiney side of life!)
other than a little rain overnight everything went well and our two excellas looked like proud parents of a baby argosy!
