Patty was in the hospital during the rally and just went over to a skilled nursing facility on Friday. She is there for physical therapy to get her back in shape to go home. To say the least I've spent a lot of time away from home so the mail has piled up a little. I went through it last night and found a card sent from Eric. I brought it to her this morning and we found that many of you there had signed the card and wrote some kind words to her. It made her day and she was touched by your kindness. Thank you all so much for thinking of her.

I can tell you she is much better and for the last two days, I finally saw the old spark back in her. She's off of oxygen and is progressing rapidly in being able to walk and get around. We will have some life style changes since it looks like her kidneys may no longer function properly. She will be doing home dialysis treatments which will allow her to be free from a dialysis center and allow us to still use the Airstream. So for all intentions our absence this year will be a bump in the road, and by next year she will be a much healthier and happier person.

I'm really glad to hear Patty has imoroved enough to leave the hospital for a skilled nursing facility.

Tell her for me to get back on her feet, we want to see her home and at next year's rally.

Give her a hug, too, and tell her I care about her.

Looks great, replace or repair the damaged part? Yours got hit ON TOP BY A CANOE. YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN KNUNUT'S after he got hit BY AN AIRPLANE. REALLY! OK guys, canoes belong in the water , planes belong in the air and Airstreams belong on land.

Amen to that! New panels fabricated and replaced by the folks who built them originally (Cayo Repair in Michigan). Only way to go. And no more boats on the roof--we're looking into inflatables! ;-)

Hello; Just a FYI. Several of us that attend the Moraineview rally also have one called the "Northern Illinois Fall or Spring Rally." If ANYONE would like to attend, you are more than welcome.
The rally will be held Columbus Day week end at Lowden State Park in Oregon Illinois. Further information can be seen in both rally sections on the Forum.
