Missouri State Fair

Anyone going to the Missouri State Fair this year? We went a couple years ago and stayed just outside the fairgrounds at adequate, full hookups (kind of a gravel parking lot, but had full hookups, picnic table and level site)

Sounds like a great time, but couldn't swing it this year or next due to work.

I wouldn't mind doing this and the Detriot Metro Rally in a few years when the dust settles though!

Bill Thomas did his rallies there. There are two campground areas. One is completely open and grassy with full hookups. The other is on the side of their arena with some partially shaded sites. This also has full hookups. Nice place really. I'm sure it is a city during fair time. The campground next to the arena holds about 300+ units. Bill had that many for the first one I attended in 2001.

This is something I had not thought about doing, but it could be fun depending on the temps outside.

August is pretty hot, but we could make a weekend trip there.

$15.00/day is a great deal for full hookups.

Yeah, and state fairs in Missouri heat aren't my cup of tea....I can just see going through the swine palace.
