Rachel rocks! I have spent a few hours on the phone with her. She actually talked to me that long without going crazy!
I will not be able to attend because I will be up in Lansing at the time. I have four straight weeks of teaching for the new Lansing-Delta Township plant that will build a new Pontiac and Saturn SUV.

Does anyone know if anyone from the WBCCI that do not normally visit this site are going to make it?

A list of those registered at Covenant Hills.
Everyone:
I just got off of the phone with Becky from Covenant Hills. Right now we have these people registered with Covenant Hills:
J. Mickle
L. Woodruff
M. Fisher
M. Jameson
C. Baidinger
L. Patterson
If you do not see your name on here and you have registered then you should call Covenant Hills and let them know that you are with the rally. They may very well have you down for a normal guest. Lord knows none of us are "normal".
If you do not see your name on here and you have not called for your reservation. Shame on you!

Jim and Gloria,
I did not get your name from the list. Maybe you should call and speak with Becky to make sure they put you with us.

I got my copy of the Newstream from Jim Mickle! I am glad to see that it is mentioned TWICE in there. Please also let your members know that they can contact me directly. Cell: 586-604-6689.
Thanks for all of the Metro-Detroit Unit's support.

Rally ideas!
I have thought long and hard about the rally.
A lot of you are posing some really great ideas via email and with phone calls.
I was thinking about the potluck and just letting everyone bring what they want to bring. I do think that we should at least post what we are all planning on bringing as a dish for the potluck.
I thought just listing what category your dish falls into so we don't wind up with 8 main dishes and no desserts. Or vice-versa.
Here are the categories I came up with:
1. Salad
2. Main dish
3. Side dish
4. Dessert
If anyone has any other ideas let me know. Carol Baidinger, (aka Wheel Interested), and I are going to make up little signs with sticks for everyone to put out in front of their trailer. We are also going to makeup some inexpensive centerpieces for the tables at the potluck.
Carol is also trying to convince me to do a stand-up routine sometime during the rally! DOH!

Right now, Marvin and Annie have said that they are in for a side dish.
I am going to make four, yes four, Smokin' Lou's Smoked Yard Birds! They are to die for! I sell these smoked chickens for holiday gifts and parties. You will NEVER eat "yard bird" any other way after the rally!
That makes one side dish and one main course.

Larry says that he sees nothing wrong with all desserts! LOL!!
He'd probably be in heaven! But I said previously that we will bring sloppy joes and buns for another main dish!! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Lou,
I remember you mentioning that you would bring sloppy joes and buns. Thanks for posting it.
We have an "ample" supply of firewood being supplied as well.
There will be at least three sets of greeters there between noon and 2 p.m.
If anyone would like a specific background picture for their rally sign please let me know. If not, then we are going to use a standard one for all of us! I am thinking a picture of MY Minuet!

OK!
The date is quickly approaching!
I have called Covenant Hills and they have told me there are still sites available adjacent to all of our sites.
Carol (aka wheelinterested) is going be our "Julie McCoy" (for those of you who remember The Love Boat). I think I would like to be Isaac, the bartender! I dunno if I can get a nifty 'fro that soon though!
I am all set except for a few "minor" details. Things are looking good.
I still have not asked for a list of those registered at Covenant Hills but from what I know I have not seen as large a following from the Metro-Detroit WBCCI Unit as I had hoped for.
Jim - rally your membership, buddy!
