All of you arriving early remember that your site will not have a water hookup. There are scattered water faucets around the campground so everybody bring some hose. If anyone runs short we can hook the hoses together and do some tank filling.

Missed ya this weekend. THe rain was no fun, but we had a good time anyway. Man that pop-up is the pitz. Modivation to get the Airstream done sooner!! Going to cut a few holes in the floor to take a look at the frame this week....
Thanks for the kind words.. we were sorry we couldn't get out this weekend.. but the shop bogged us down; no way could we leave it if we want to take off two weekends pretty soon.. both the Moraine Rally and the VAC Rally in Colorado Springs......at least the shop was busy, and then of course, the weather was so bad!!

It's springtime and the T-shirt business gets a little crazy - I see I've missed many many postings! Times ticking away and the rally is getting closer, so I better get moving on my Rally T-shirt idea!
I haven't put the design together just yet, but I am planning on a pretty simple, tasteful (GAK! Tasteful? NO!) design on the front of a white t-shirt that says, "AIRSTREAMFORUMS.COM MIDWEST RALLY" and the location and date. This design will not be a small chest size or a full front, it will be a medium sized design centered over the chest. On the back, I plan on putting a "concert tour" type of list of all of our forum names......mine being the most creative (hardee har....gotta change that.....but I started with Tracy Lawrence and it just kinda stuck......)
Please email me if you would like me to make you and your family one. I will also make youth sizes. Adult sizes S-XL $6, Adult XXL $7, Adult 3X $8, Adult 4X $9, Youth sizes 2/4, 6/8, 10/12 and 14/16 $6. I'll bring the finished shirts to the rally. You can email me direct at Orngwip@aol.com to let me know that you want them. Please let me know asap - orders only accepted until 3 days prerally. After that, well, as they say, you snooze....blah blah.
REVISION!!!! No need to mail a payment. We'll square up then. I will also consider interesting trades.....whatever that means. But I see it in the classifieds often enough and wonder what people might offer.
Thanks everyone!
a commemorative shirt for our very first rally. glad to hear it!!!
Too bad you couldnt' find those commemorative togas, maybe next year.
OH! Here's an Idea, Large White Plastic Cups, that say, in big black letters "Chocolate Milk" !!!! What a great idea, then no one would know that we were breaking the law!!!!

Ron
Ron, what happened to that Grade School raid we had planned on "chocolate milk day" to abscond with the cartons for re-use?
I don't know about you guys and gals but with the daily hail storms, rotating thunderstorms, tornado warnings, flood warnings, and stay off the street warnings, I'm beginning to wonder if the sun will ever shine again in good old St. Lou...or if we can go 24 hours without any other calamity from the sky. I need June 11th to be here...tomorrow.

This is what I came home to Tuesday. This is taken from the end of the street, which as you know Jack is only a short distance from my house. The close up is down the street, the cars were washed up on the curb.
Crazy.
My office reeks of molding water....

Shades of 1993! I hope this weather pattern changes soon and doesn't become another one of those 100 to 500 year events. Aren't they supposed to be hundreds of years apart??! We are having too many of those. Guess Mother Nature doesn't listen to the weather men. Sorry, Ron-hope you all stayed dry. Is the branch on your patio? I'm cringing everytime I hear the rain start and the wind whip up-afraid for our AS out under a tree-only place we have to park her!

Funchucky1... this is a come-as-you-are affair. You'll need to get a site reservation though, for whatever you choose to do (except dropping by for an afternoon of course...).
Look forward to seeing you there!

Jack... from the Moraine View website:
"Camping |
For longer stays, there are 137 Class A trailer campsites with water, electricity and a sanitary station. Sixty-one sites can now be reserved in Gander Bay campground."
So I presume that this means there is water available, but it's not at each site?
Roger

As it's been discussed in earlier posts on this thread, you could cover the tent in aluminum foil!!! OR bring the base of the Airstream, and pop the tent up top... you would be the talk of the rally!!!
I bet it would be a first!!!
