I'm a chocolaterian.
And Monica, May is a perfect time to stay at Seacliff. Lucky you! As you know, sunsets will be spectacular, summer fog will still be at bay, and youll be avoiding the summer hordes. Good call!

Did someone say chocolate?
That reminds me, we need chocolate-dipped strawberries with those mimosas.

That I can do. And they're organic! But the chocolate? Who knows--but it's a great combo.

Have some chocolate for me!
Did I hear someone say chocolate?? oooooooooo yum! How 'bout some of my favorite, Belgian Callebaut semi-sweet? Or one of those Endangered Species Supreme Dark Chocolate bars? 72% and smooth as silk?
What?? You say this is a rally thread?
Never mind.

Only a 3075.58 mile commute! But I'll do it someday. I love your area of the world! In the meantime, I'm following this thread, chocolate in hand.

Hi all. There is an informal rally at Malibu RV Park Feb. 16-18 that a few of us are going to. Actually there are 8 or so signed up so far including Debra and I. (There is a thread under other rallies and events in the rally section) If you are anywhere near by and can come on over, please do!

Hott Tip...
only because i grew up in the area (ACK a native, a real one!) i would like to offer up a tip that's just a hop, skip, and a small jump away from your rally.
this is soooooo..... AMERICANA, which as most of the rally attendies know, i'm all about. sorry, no cow or horse on the roof, but it's americana through and through.
Cold Spring Tavern

mapquest the place. it's VERY close to the rally, but you could miss the turn off and not know it.
it's an old stage coach stop. it has a little bar, and a restaurant. I LOVE THE PLACE. i'd do it on saturday. the crowd changes on sunday, nothing bad, just different.
if you do go.... BRING your camera, and post pics.
i have more, close by, but i'll shut up...
tour over,
k.

If you do go to the Cold Springs Tavern, and we recommend it, try and call ahead. One day we stopped on our way to Solvang, and caught them between lunch and dinner. We could only get soup.

"were they still selling beer, while being open, with all that classic americana charm going on thing?"
i NEVER use these face thingies, just wanted to make sure y'all knew i was just making a "pleasant", observation... yak, yak, yak...

Just a Thought
Hey Girls and NOT Kevin just a thought instead of a lake cruise my son-in-law has a 32 ft sailboat in SB harbor perhaps a short cruise would be appealing? Let me know ASAP because there is always something going on within the family and cruzing if not there is always the 42 ft unifilte to cruise however it takes diesel and will cost me $$$ not saying you ladies are not worth it but I'm now poor. I think you ladies are in for a hootin good time.

Seems like a lot of chocolate over here - and where we come from a lot of wine - hmm now could us silva sistas get a real party on with chocolate wine!
