No one will go home hungry...

Thanks for offering to be the first on sight to stake our claim. I tried to get in touch with a live body at the campground to see it they would let us do that, but no one was home. I may take a drive up there over the weekend to check it out and see if I can talk to someone in person.
From what I'm told by seasoned Winter Cachuma campers, we shouldn't have a problem getting spaces in the Barona Area, or being close to each other...we just might not get the BEST spots.
I'm hoping to bring my trailer up on Thursday afternoon. I have to work a few hours on Friday morning and then deposit the kiddos with Daddy when he gets off work, so I'll have to leave and be back Friday around 2pm or so.
Regarding social activities, YES YES YES to all the eating and drinking events! A Friday Happy Hour and fend-for-yourself dinner is a must. And, Saturday eve potluck and Sun breakfast sound divine. Blkcat1, you better plan to whip up that casserole dish, because your BETTER HALF just signed you up for it. But, forget the bloody mary's, I'm bringing MIMOSAS for the ladies...!
We'll start the potluck list when the event gets a little closer.
One last thing, if anyone is up for it, Cachuma has a great nature boat trip around the lake. It takes 2 hours and costs $15.

The boat trip sounds great. I'll go! FYI, in case anyone is kayak inclined...they don't allow kayaks or canoes.
Meredith: If you and I go on Thursday maybe we can meet and block out some sites together.

OK! I'm in too for Thursday...we can block off a few other spots for sure. We'll spread ourselves out a bit...make some elbow room. I'll have one of those 'Firedancer Fire Pits' they're kinda small but maybe someone can make one of those washing machine tubs??? I'll see and let you know if I can get that part....
The boat trip sounds great to me too! and the Mimosas!
What FUN !!!! I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't WAIT !!!!

Absitively, posolutely!! I'm way over on the East Coast, but I'll be with you all in spirit for the West Coast rally. Don't forget to lift a mimosa and clink for all us Rivettes who can't be there, and we'll cross our fingers that some of you will meet us back home in Ohio for the Summer Solstice!

Hi Carol & Jamie. Thanks for the messages. Sure hope we can all rally this summer.
*waves to Kristiana*
Now that we're all friends here...I'll share the secret of where Debra and I camped in Palm Springs on our way home from the January Rally at 29 Palms.
Look closely...between the Airstreams...
BamCamper on the left and Babeebloos on the right. The rest were big ol' SOB's. But we were by far the nicest of course!

We'll never tell
Nice choice girls! I'm sure you classed the place up a bit with your shiny silver trailers .
Since we're telling secrets, I have a confession too. We decided to take the scenic route home from the rally and ended up getting lost somewhere behind Victorville. I was "Map Girl" so it was technically my fault. Anyway, we stumbled across this really cool place called the "Bottle Tree Ranch" and had to stop to take some pictures. If you look closely in one of the pics, you can see something that resembles a silver trailer (that was my excuse for making Jack stop the car, anyway )

BamCamper is Laurel
Babeebloos is Debra
Codybear is Paula
Kristianna is ...well.....HERSELF!
I'm not a Vegan but that doesn't stop me from eating lot's of the healthy stuff, I DO want to stress that I am also very much carnivore (don't want to nix the Ribs coming our way....or the casserole either...!

Not a vegan here...a vegetarian. There is a difference .
I don't eat any meat or poultry but do eat dairy products and eggs...so bring on the cheese enchiladas and quiches in the morning.
Anyone else have preferences?
