Seriously, you two saved the day. I locked myself out in Florida and had to call the locksmith to get in!

Sure is a beautiful view where Janet and Michelle were at. Another story?...

We'll be easily recognized at the Summer Solstice, Vickie. You'll be the one carrying around the coffee pot; I'll be the one following with a coffee cup.

Gorgeous view from your yard, Janetb!

"Launched everything on the bed onto the floor?" Ouch, hope all your stuff is okay!!! Some of our California roads seem to be in pretty bad shape. When we tow our trailer on the 405 through West LA is feels like we are being beaten to death....I am sure our trailer isn't too happy about it either.

Thank you again for your very kind hospitality at Lake Cachuma.....and I look forward to reading more about your travels and hope to see you on the road again....take care, paula

Rivettes in the news...

Woohoo!! I love it, janetb -- "from tire pressure to bruchetta toppings" -- what a great line. Conjures up all kinds of fun ideas.

And to Codybear, nice job as always on the newsletter editing.

Everyone needs to back up. I had to do it today and yesterday in "Gas" stations. They were too tight to pull through and there were no Truck stops on US 101 up north.

I cannot take credit for the photo. I only gathered them and posted them. I think the photo in question was taken by Evie.

Hi, I'm totally impressed with all of you ladies, backing into your spaces. As for Michelle, it's always good to have a mechanic in the crowd. And Babeebloos, let me hold an extra key for you. I think there must be a cure or modification to prevent this from happening. [getting locked out] And Cat, I think I better go on a diet, I would never fit through an Airstream window.

Such a great success story on your first Ladies Rally.

Extra keys

Someone mentioned that they wire tie a set of keys to the "frame" of their AS so if they lock themselves out. I think this is an excellent idea which is cheap and great insurance. Just get "good" quality ties and pick your spot well. Wish I could take credit for it however I can't it was in one of the forums I read.

Best,

Irish.

The problem was even with a spare key the lock would not open.
We had to break in to get the door open. Not good.

I am glad to hear there was a spare key as we have had the same problem at rallys before, but it sucks that the solution did not work!!

Hi, in that case, time for a new latch assembly. [Locks by its self and won't work with a key] Contact Airstream and latch manufacturer. "Not good."

Women's rallies

How many documented women's Airstream rallies have taken place over the years? Does anyone have an idea--or a research suggestion? When was the first?
