I did not see anything near by for camping. Frankly when I camp I want to go to a less populated place not a highly populated one....

I guess I may have just been in the bad part of town.
I enjoyed your photos of the "gal's rally", looks like y'all had a great time.

Just got back online...
Hey Rivettes!
I spoke with Evie when I got home, she got the very last seat on her flight!
She's so 'amped' with everything Silver and hey...I think we just 'birthed' a new Sista! She's been excitedly talking to her friend Norma (86 yrs old, original 'Caravaner' of Wally's Famous Mexico, Europe, Jamaica and Virgin Island tours...!Her family w/3 boys in their cowboy hats were part of major advertising campaign for Airstream and featured in National Geographic Magazine) and is scouting out some possible future purchase!
I am soooo pleased to report to everyone following this thread that:
"YES!!! Everyone REALLY backed their own rig in and set up themselves! YOU CAN DO IT!"
When I got home by myself, I very 'neatly' and in only one try....slipped right into my sweet spot...backing in 'slowly' but with 'Poise and Conviction'....
That's what a Women's Rally can do for YOU!
...........and ....um....Janet, can you please share your recipe for that most delishioustimostus Paella????

Oh...and also...
I want to Thank You.... Michelle for using your expert skills in jimmying windows open with clothes hanger...and for Cat in being so 'skinny' to go thru said bedroom window and unlocking the door that had shut behind me locking me out right at the end of the rally....AGAIN ! ! ! ....geeez..... I give up...I'm going to get a combination lock....
Uh....isn't anyone else going to guess what those long silver things are???
Come-on Guys.....????

Great sequence Kristiana! And Carol, that is too perfect. Great catch.
Michelle the Rescuer parked in a friend's vineyard (and got trapped behind the security gate, but that's another story...) enroute from the rally to destinations north, and stayed here overnight. We relived the rally looking at all the photos she'd downloaded, and I got much vicarious pleasure (nevermind the awe!) looking at photos of her cross-county adventures.
Michelle with a California view from our back yard, before getting back onto the miserable California roads...

Janet,
I enjoyed staying in the hills overlooking Monterey. I will really be impressed when you tell me you towed your trailer up and down that Mountain you call a driveway!
The roads were bad. They launched everything on the bed onto the floor. Once I got north of the Bay area they got much better.
I am now just across the border in Oregon. Camping on the beach. Wow! The sun is just now setting.

Debra -- Yay! SHE CAN do it! So glad to get this report 'cause to tell the truth I'm starting to get a little nervous about the backing up part again. Not giving up though... Some very patient silver sisters will be on hand for me at the Summer Solstice rally. Right, ladies?
So, tell me more about this programmable coffee maker. I'll be shopping for one for the Bambi soon. Any recommendations?

Hi Jamie,
There is no need to get anxious! Our sites at Poor Farmer's are pull throughs. Just make sure where ever you stop between those two points are pull throughs as well. No matter what, you can do it. Just repeat this over and over until you believe it!!!
I love my trailer coffee pot! It is a 12 cup(I love my morning POT of coffee ) Cuisinart with a thermal carafe. It really comes in handy to just take it outside with me so that I don't have to keep going back inside for a refill. It is also handy from an electrical standpoint. After the coffee finishes dripping there is no more draw on the electricity.
June 21 is getting closer!!
Vickie

Laurel,
CA 17, I-880, I-580 were all bouncy. US 101 just north of Golden Gate bridge was rough as well. Once I got to Peteluma they smoothed out. I am still on 101 in Oregon.
