The good news is that this hiatus from using the Airstream has given us time to replace the tires and do some other maintenance.


The bad news is that it's still winterized from last year. The good news is that at the rate this is going we won't have to winterize for the next winter.



Just kidding, hope to have an event in May or June in Hiawasee.

Sue, Cheryl and I had planned to go to Ocean Lakes for Region 3. Region 3 was cancelled, we cancelled, and yesterday, the Ocean Lakes campground was required to close.

I hope that the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds campground stays open, since we are oh so ready to get away, even for a little while, Rally or no Rally.

Sheltering in place is sadly the 'Normal' for a while I guess. We were looking forward to 'catching up' with friends and fellow Airstreamers too. So, yes, maybe time to do some maintenance so we will be ready. Our '99 Safari has an A/C that is just humming instead of running, so a new 'Hard Start' capacitor is on order and that old Dometic A/C shroud is brittle as a potato chip, so new one there too. A reminder to all of you, open the inside cover of your unit and inspect the A/C coils near the fan if you can access them. A good gentle cleaning is probably in order. Let's get ready to camp! When we can....stay safe out there!
