Talking Bump !

Another weekend and working on a restoration seems to take precedence over camping.

The end of September seems like a good time to go to a rally!

Anybody else?

Well, I ended up losing sleep over not seeing your new Overlander, and experiencing Sneakinup's cool, new AC.

Count [just] Kim & me in - We're in site 144.

Wow, sure wish we could be there. We camped at Ft. Desota in June-what a great park. While we were there it was named the number 1 beach in America! They even have a dog beach and playground in the park. Campsites are huge and right on the bay. Have a wonderful time.

If we keep Tom supplied with a few cold bottles of "Ginger ale" I bet we can get some of that special Colonel Toms Fried chicken again...............

I can supply the Beverages for TOM, the rest of you will need to bring their own. The real question is "Who wants fried chicken?"

The question goes hand in hand with, "What can you bring to pass?"

Terry, what night was the pot luck anyhow?

Pot Lick, er, luck, would be Saturday night. Unless, of course, everyone wants Pot Luck Friday night, and dinner at Kentucky Tom's on Saturday...

If I can get a virtual show of hands, I will see if I can get us a mulit-person deal at Ringling Clown school. Heck, they may even offer some of us jobs...
Now IS a good time to think about what you want to bring, food-wise. I can bring my old reliable, potato salad, and Mudslide mix (an interesting combination). Also if you want a movie, let me/us know what you would like to see, assuming, of course, that we can once again get the projector and screen as we did last October.
I think our bunch is too active to have Bingo, but I was approached with an offer of some items to be used as door prizes etc. Maybe a random drawing before the movie to select winners, in lieu of competition, would be best, unless someone has a specific activity/game request.

I'll be there on Friday and Saturday with the '79 Excella. Lot 125. I'm not much of a chef, so I better get to practicing.

It is still alive, but no one has chimed in about dinner, number of persons interested in watching clowns, or what movies they would like to view. I may have to make executive decisions on these. Hopefully no one gets left out, we want everyone to enjoy themselves. So far, we are having chicken, potato salad, and Mudslides for dinner ...
So far, the video selection is XXX-2 (not a porno, the movie with Ice Cube), Ocean's Twelve, Johnny Dangerously, and Garfield the Movie. Others are available, but I don't want to list every single movie I have. If you don't want to see any of them, I can put up 4 more for all you-all's perusal.

Hey,

We're also having pasta salad, homemade rolls, so someone chime in with desert ideas.
Since I am still of work I may make a big dish of macaroni and cheese.

Just so we can get a head count, can everyone chime in with how may they will be. I will be solo, at least at this time

I want to be sure Tom knows how much of his finger licking good chicken to make, as well as getting head counts for other administrative functions.

Brett, by doing a virtual head count here on this thread, we seem to have 12 people, and 9 rigs. Kind of like a singles rally. Anyone else bringing a significant other? Anyone else planning to come to the rally that we don't know about?
I had hoped for a couple more (Teresa, still want to come down?)
Anyone else? Beuller? Beuller?...

Raising one hand!

My son and daughter might drive down to hang out one day, but I wouldn't count on that, and I would provide whatever they need.

There will be two of us(plus dog), and I plan to make a batch of gazpacho for the pot luck. Looking forward to it.

I'll be just bringing me (single and always have been). As nobody has mentioned a good old southern deserct, I think I'll start practicing my bananna pudding. It usually tastes better than it looks, but I think I can make it look as good as it tastes if I practice, practice...

Or would anybody be interested in some homemade (on the spot) peach ice cream?

I'll do the ice cream

Okay, folks, I won't subject you to my ugly, delicious bannana pudding, but I will commit to providing the ice cream.

Well, I reserved a spot for 3 nights, though it's a few spots away from you guys. I wanted a place on the water. Plus, on Saturday night I couldn't get that spot so who knows where I'll have to pull the rig to that night.

And it would be just me & Osita.
