Yes, John, you will learn many useful things. Just re-read this thread:

1) How to make fried chicken
2) How to snorkel
3) How to sleep despite a snoring roommate
4) Where to buy drugs on the Internet
5) What we all look like

and possibly other useful things like rivet replacement, or why you should own an Argosy.

Why you should own an Argosy? Did this seminar replace a polishing seminar?

We just got back from Disney World, but the weekend of 11/12 - 14 is a weekend we are going camping anyway.

We're thinking about it. Are there still sites open?

Anyone else coming that has kids in the 5 - 9 age range?

My wife and I discussed it and a trip this far so close to the one we just made is more than we want to do right now. I remember one gas station in Tallahassee where I paid $2.29 for a gallon of mid-grade, too!

We'll try to catch you folks next time!

nyairdream, since you are next to us, you may need to substitute beer for candy. You may have wished you had brought a wetsuit instead of a thong once you hit that 72 degree water!

I will provide the rolaids if need be...............

Just want to remind those that are planning on attending to start getting ready! Everyone that is coming needs to have a site reserved, unless you are planning on staying with a friend.

I am thinking pot luck on Sat night for dinner, that way everyone will be able to attend. Please bring a dish to pass. I plan to do a rivet setting and shaving seminar. If your unit needs a rivet or 2 replaced we can use it as a guinea pig , otherwise I will have some trailer skin there to practice on. If everyone is up to it we could even do a "tour of homes".

We will get a list of "to dos" in the area so that everyone will have choices. Some I know want to snorkel, others may want to do the pancake breakfast thing. I have no real schedule planned, just gonna let it happen.

Questions?

Is there anything that we "must" do?

I might be the only batchelor attending, so let me know if there is something you want me to bring... from Publix.

Brett, I need about 100 done on the roof, where the old Armstrong shroud was removed. The PO's filled the holes with steel screws. I'll bring an 8' step ladder and an aluminum extension ladder to make it easy for you.

No, I meant a dish of food to pass for all to share As a confirmed bachelor all you need to do is put your purchased offering in a bowl so the origins are disguised. We often do this at unit pot lucks because they are on Friday night and we have little time to prepare anything.

This sounds like time to invoke the Jesus rule, I will "teach " you how to do it and then you can do for yourself. If I do them all for you, you have learned nothing grasshopper

Sneakinup, what Brett means is that you should open the can or remove the packaging BEFORE you put it in the bowl.

I think I can handle that. Although, I do make a mean "Big Salad"... out of a bag. That isn't the same as "re-gifting", is it?

Only if someone else gave you the bag of salad as a gift

Mike, as far as the state is concerned, your trailer is 29'. If they don't believe you, have them ask me.
We are going to be in site 46, so the folks with the bigger units can have the bigger sites.
Unfortunately we will be rolling in around 9-10 PM, we will try to be quiet, but you know what happens then...

John, I have stayed in many state and federal parks, and have left stuff (like brand-new bicycles) outside, and unlocked, with no problem. If you have a lockable rack on your car for them, there is no reason not to leave them there when not in use.
As far as a dish to pass, you can stop at Publix or Winn Dixie at Deland or Sanford on the way in, and not have to worry about transporting it.

We may be there Friday night, depending on the wife's work schedule. Geez, I almost forgot, it gets dark so early, maybe we will come in on Saturday, who knows.

Wife and I went kayaking at Rainbow Springs, this past Sunday. Nyairdream, your stuff should be safe, never had a problem with missing stuff at a campground.
