I think the plan for Thursday night pizza, Friday BYO hot dog roast, and Saturday night soup potluck sound great.

Saturday breakfast in town sounds good, as it will allow those who have to leave on Sunday to also go.

I have a great cream of mushroom soup recipe, will do that for Saturday night and bake a loaf of DO bread.

I will bring some firewood, as well.

I'm thinking a DO cobbler and a small batch of homemade vanilla ice cream (it's never too cold for ice cream) on Saturday. Will have a few bottles of "adult" root beer for floats is there's any left. Maybe some molasses cookies for Friday?

Hmmmm...homemade ice cream reminds me that I've had Rumtopf fermenting the past few months.

Made with raspberries, blueberries, nectarines and peaches, I'll bring a jar of that to drizzle atop cobbler and ice cream.

I'll also have community cookies of some sort.

We never go hungry, do we.

I'd like to think it won't be as cold as last year.

Maybe I'll make hot buttered rum batter, and we can drink those around the fire.

I have rum left from making Rumtopf...

Well, good news and bad news guys... the bad news is that we'll have to cancel on you next week--we were really looking forward to the fall paddle at Moraine View!!! The good news is that the reason we'll be absent is that we're heading east to pick up our "new" Airstream (2006 75th Anniversary 25' Safari LS FB)!!! Can't wait to show her off to the group next June. Have fun and don't eat too much! See you soon, hopefully.

There went the Ice Cream, Cobbler and adult beverage. Oh well, we are campers and can improvise.
Good luck Brian and have a safe trip and enjoy.

I will still bring a jar of Rumtopf, if someone wants to bring some vanilla ice cream.

Wonderful news! We will miss you guys but again WONDERFUL NEWS! Your vintage AS was always the iconic American symbol of camping in the wilderness. However moving into something younger as we get older totally makes sense! We have a 2008 Safari 25 FB and love it! The layout makes it feel much larger than it is! Of course our first AS was a 16'. lol Did you get twin beds or a queen? Are you keeping the vintage AS as well?

Don't be sad......
Bob is making his homemade cashew peanut brittle. And Maggie said she might bring her rumtoph. Maybe a little hot coffee with Baileys or Kalua around the fire?

Yep, we'll hang on to the old Avion, at least until I finish restoring the '65 Avion slide-in... we enjoy the vintage rallies just as much! The new AS will certainly spoil us, but as Jo Ann nears retirement, we plan to do a bit more serious traveling/exploring. What better way to go! Queen bed, BTW.

It may be too warm to do soup and serious cold-weather food.

I may do something in the DO...

maccamper in P15

Congratulations to you both, Mount'n Man on your new acquisition! We look forward to seeing you in June.

Laird and I have P15 reserved for Thursday night leaving on Monday. However, we will probably be driving over each day from Bloomington. Right now, our Airstream is in Southern Illinois and we're in Bloomington.

We're planning to fix a pot of Jambalaya for Saturday night's potluck. Not sure yet what we'll fix for Friday.

The flea market is on Sunday. http://www.thirdsundaymarket.com

Mike and Dana, are you bringing the bocce ball set again?

The weather here today in Bloomington (about 17 miles from Moraine View) is gorgeous. Hopefully, it will stay that way through the rally. Gosh, I don't remember the cold from last year -- I just remember Dana's Hallowe'en spectacles. That would be "eye glass" spectacles, not "behavior' spectacles --- I think. ;-)

See you all soon,
Nancy
