Oldest Annual Forum Rally - One More Time!!
Santa Comes To Town on December 11.
8th Annual Blanco, Texas Christmasmas Rally
Once again, Santa Comes To Blanco -
Dec 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2010.
There are still plenty of sites left in the park for this weekend, but sign up soon so as to not be left outside without a reservation.
This will be a good outing for Vintage, first timers (and old timers), and kids...

Gift Exchange Rules are to be determined...please state your preference.
You'd think that after this many times the rules would be locked, but nooooo....
Always some who want to change the rules at the last moment....state your "Dirty Santa" rule preferences here ....
First chosen gets "last steal"...after 3 steals a gift is locked...
Some types of "special gifts" probably will be available - "furthest travelled", "oldest", "youngest", "married least amount of time"....
Present plan is a hosted dinner (Chili and Brats???) at the park on Friday evening - BYOB, Drinks, and Table Settings - Desserts always welcome.
Weather permitting some will likely make a cruise to see the lights at Johnson City on Friday night.
Pot Luck and Gift Exchange on Saturday after the Open Air Market. Market opens at 9:00 on Saturday, Santa is scheduled to dodge the Llama Crap at 10:00.
Pot Luck Set Up will be "about dark".
Please post any ideas you may have about rules, procedures, or grievances.
Pets on a leash are still "OK" at the town square as far as I know.

Just made our reservations looking forward to it! There were 5 spaces with water, elec. and sewer when I made mine.

Was planning on coming but my beloved trailer got stolen on Labor Day. If she comes home I'l be there or if I'm lucky to score a replacement then will come. We had so much fun last year!

Prim and I will be there in Cosmo. We're also bringing another couple with their SOB, but they drink well, so they will fit in just fine.

This looks like a great event to attend. Unfortunately I won't be back in Texas until the 17th or 18th so we will miss out. Maybe in another year or 2.

Various "Special" Prizes - Thanks Inland RV
Inland RV has generously donated several unsolicited Rally gifts -
In addition, a major South Texas manufacturing plant has donated a great gift which will also be awarded durning the rally.
There are only a handful of reservable spots left at Blanco SP for that weekend - on the other hand there are several camping areas in close proximity to Blanco that will allow any participant wannabe to have "walk-in" access to the rally.
Remember, this is a FORUM rally - not associated with the WBCCI.

Alright you crafty Airstreamers. We (Mary, Lora & Deb) will be providing every camping space a Pink Plastic Lawn Flamingo, our responsibilty ends there ...Until the JUDGING! Bring your glue guns, your imaginations and your gaudy embellishments for a Pink Flamingo Christmas Decorating Contest!!!!! Prizes awarded at the pot luck supper Saturday night.
Also we have a huge (I mean huge) grand prize for the site with the best Christmas decorations!!!!!

Am I missing something? I read in the Rally area (as of last week) no more reservations and sign ups accepted.

Big problem with the Forum Rally Area - once I posted on the Rally Calendar I could not modify anything AND the Forum Rally Sign up was locked....anyone in any camper is welcome - I encourage walkins if all of the park sites are taken....but please post here in this thread if you think you can make it.
The Sign Up will never be "closed" - this is a public affair and ALL are welcome...just bring a gift for the gift exchange (cheap and tacky is good), maybe a dessert or a salad, tableware and drinks - and a sense of humor.
One hint - even though all of the campsites may be taken, the Park Rangers are pretty cool about renting the enclosure campsites to smaller units - at least they let a couple of people do it in the past - worth a try.
There were a couple of sites left when I checked the Texas Sign Up Site (see post #1) a couple of days ago....if you are thinking of coming you to make a reservation for the weekend via the internet. The Texas site is new this year, and they no longer use the "national" service - this is a good thing.
As was mentioned earlier, several donations of door prizes have been received. Thanks Inland RV and others.
Hopefully we can fill up the park with Aluminum.
