I might be able to attend this rally. Have to see how it fits in with trip to Nashville.
Natural Bridge looks like a very nice location.

It looks like there are about 24 spots fairly close together at Natural Bridge, but there are no sites with septic. Does anyone think this will be an issue?

Are there bathhouses, or do we need to pack two extra pots?

There are bath houses and dump stations but no sites with direct septic hook ups. All the sites we are looking at have electric and water.

Not sure where hubby will be working next spring (his job takes him out of town - the reason for our airstream), but if he's within a reasonable distance we'll definitely be there!
You betcha!
Whatever everyone decides as location is fine with us.

Not having septic is not a problem for us. We are very used to camping then dumping on the way out!

I have spoken to Troy at NB in group reservations and he sees no reason why we can't go ahead and start making individual reservations for sites. I would feel better having something more specific and on paper. I have called back several times but been unable to get him, left messages. There is a section together with about 22 spots and most are pull through, I thought this would be the place to start. I'll go back and look at the specific sites and post them on here.

Folks – enough time has passed and I think we have a good consensus. We will, at least for the 2009 gathering, meet at Natural Bridge.
I do like the idea of using a different site each year so we all can visit each part of this beautiful state. I will get our rally marker into the Airforums site presently.
Thanks to 63silver for doing a great job coordinating with the reservation people.
Alumatube - dont worry about the spill. Everyone knows all Airstreamers manure smells like roses... ;-)

Digger,
The Dogwoods and Bluegrass Rally poster looks great!! It looks like the best sites at NB would be B001-B007 and B011-B026, B019-B026 are pull through. I'm going to go ahead and make our reservations. MAN, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Cool - what arrangement have you made -- how do the reservations work? Have you held a block for everyone or do we need to call in individually and have a secret password to get put in the right group?

According to the fellow I have spoken to at NB they can not hold a block for us until they see they are getting several reservations. I have ask him to look at holding B001-B007, B011-B026 when we have some reservations already made. I was unable to get on line last night to reserve ours but will be doing it today. I will also speak to 94tri to make sure he gets his reservation in as well. We have had several people interested ao I hope they go ahead and get online to reserve their spot. Reservations must be made on reserveamerica.com, Kentucky, Natural Bridge State Park. If anyone has any trouble let me know!!! Alright, Let's make this happen!!!!!!!

OK, we have reserved site B020 in the pull through section. Remember reserveamerica.com , go under KY, put in the date and # of days, look under campground map and pick your site. Once again we are looking at sites around the B loop with several pull throughs. If this is the first time you have used reserveamerica.com you will have to take a couple of minutes to set up an account, no big deal. Come on people I've camped 6 times this summer and only seen my brother in laws Airstream, it's nice but I would like to see many more, so GET REGISTERED !!!
