Looking for Canopener site

We are trying to book a site for the Canopener in January. Unfortunately, we are in Panama City, where we still have NO internet since Hurricane Michael😩. If someone is canceling a site, could you please give me a call at 850 819 2472? Our trailer is in the shop to repair the storm damage, and we’d really like to attend this rally once we get it back mid-December.

I can access internet from an onstar vehicle once I know about a cancellation, but I miss the emails stating that there are cancellations. We’d like to attend 12/30 - 1/6.

TIA... y’all are a great bunch of people!

In this thread, I found the following posters looking for a site:

BassCan, Wayne and Julie
GOUSC, Jim and Karin
CFW, Channing
Hans627
Tara7
trumpetguy
Airstim, 850 819 2472-Panama City (no Internet)

So, if you read this and plan to cancel, please be considerate and inform the thread.

Curiously, I found judyjudy (here in the thread) and boogieshoes (in the rsvp page) both list site #140.

Phil

Michael and I are headed to Canopener 12/26. This is our favorite Airstream event of the year. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new. As part of the AR Razorback unit, we will be helping with the fish fry as Jan and Charles Heavener's chief bottle washers! We will be doing con queso and sangria again at our site #140 on Saturday, 12/29. This will be a casual gathering and all are welcome. Will probably start around 4ish until whenever. Not long now!
We’re arriving on the 27th from Gulf Shores. Would live to stop by for queso! Should we bring anything too?

Still looking for a site for the Canopener. Internet is spotty at best due to the hurricane, but I can be reached at 850 819 2472. We’d be ever so grateful to get in!😊

Hi Phil,

We are new to Airstreaming, and we’d really like to attend the Canopener. Any helpful hints as to locating a cancellation? I have already done the Wandering Labs thing. We are in Panama City, and I REALLY want to have this to look forward to. It’s bleak over here!

Thanks,
Chris

I do not have any specific suggestions. I was just trying to be helpful when I posted the list of people who had posted that they were looking for a site. I was hoping that all readers would be made aware and hopefully post here before cancelling, so someone needing a site would know when to call (or go online).

Good luck with your vigilant watch for sites to open up. I had not heard of the website which would tell when a site opened but in an earlier message it was mentioned here.

Phil

Of course, I assume that you would be welcome to visit even if you do not get a site. A day visit (or two) could allow you to learn much about camping, and specifically Airstreaming.

I don't know about the visitor policy there however, so I don't know if there is a day-use fee. Someone else in this thread may know that.

Phil

Please RSVP to this thread if you'll be arriving by New Year's Eve.

How can you help? we need about 10 desserts ONLY - including fruit, cubed pound cake, cubed brownies for the fountain; and for those who don't want to cook: coolers w/ice for the bubbly, coffee cups, creams and sugars, dessert plates, plasticware, napkins, and skewers for the fountain.

Check back to the Canopener schedule for times - location will be the Clubhouse.
We look froward to ringing in the new year with this crew. We will bring fruit for the chocolate fountain

Two peas, I now see your post stating you have enough deserts for New Years Eve. I'll see when is needed when we arrive and will help anyway I can.
