Cornhole Tournament
What: Cynthia Thoede Memorial Cornhole Tournament
When: Friday, January 9 at noon
Where: Signup and tournament in front of site 156 on Wild Oak Lane
Entry Cost: $5
This year we are dedicating the tournament to Cynthia Thoede, a long-standing member of our Canopener family who passed away suddenly in September. She and her husband Jeff (Forum name Rivetng) were both known as fierce competitors once the old bag of corn started flying. The entry fee this year will be $5/competitor (or whatever amount over $5 you wish to contribute). All proceeds will be donated to the Gadsden Street United Methodist Church Children and Youth Programs, Pensacola, FL in memory of Cynthia’s dedication to the church and youth. Jeff will be attending and you will still have to fight him on the playing field!
In preparation for the tournament, we need additional cornhole boards (at least 2 more sets) and volunteers for judges/scorekeepers (instruction will be provided). Please sign up below if you are playing or can help. Last minute sign-ups at the tournament location are welcome. This is a single elimination tournament.
Rules and information on the game of cornhole are at: Official Rules for Corn Toss, Cornhole, Bean Bag and Bean Toss
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Can't leave until Thursday... For some reason, my job still expects me to show up every now and again. You think they'd have learned by now...
-Red, patiently waiting...

You're looking a little under the weather to me, might want to call in sick so that you don't get your co-workers sick...

Donna and I have finally found enough time to think about the CanOpener, it has been a whirlwind around here for the last 3 months. We will bring a New Orleans style King Cake for the Saturday Potluck Dinner. I will ask that someone add us to the potluck list as I am not sure where the last update is and I don't want to screw the list up at this late date. Can't wait to get back on the road we will arrive Wendesay afternoon.
Jim and Donna

Joe and Annette, it appears you are next door to the only SOB on that street. Better invite them to the festivities, inccluding cornhole since it takes place right in front of their site. See you Wednesday.

I was a little disappointed to say the least. Anyway, this party has unofficially started, see y'all soon. Brad, if you guys are reading this, get your butts down here, we need more paddlers. Hope to see you two next year.

Dale, we are operating in close to dial-up internet conditions here in Death Valley so we have very limited bandwidth. But earlier today Karen and I went paddling in near perfect conditions: high tide about 2pm, winds out of the ssw at 5 knots, partly cloudy conditions. See you next year!

Question travelers heading north. From Spring Hill to Topsail do you think FL route 20 or I-75/I-10?
I will arrive hopefully just in time for the potluck Thursday.

Spring Hill, as in between High Springs and Alachua? If so, you're so close to 75 that I'd definitely jump on it... Still trying to find a different Spring Hill, or a route 20.
We're heading up 129 to Live Oak, and getting on I-10 there. I'll be the slow guy everybody's passing... Leaving Thursday morning about eight.
-Red, low speed, high drag...
