I think folks retreating early says as much. Got to meet a few friends I haven't seen before, looking forward to meeting the rest of the family tonight.....

Had work things to take care of this morning, so we're not making as early a start as we planned. We may not make the potluck tonight.

Here it is 10:00 AM CST in Santa Rosa Beach, and the outside temperature is still sitting well below freezing at 25 Degrees. This is a rare day here. I have been here for almost twenty years, cannot remember a day when it has been this cold so long after sunrise.
The forecast for tonight is much better. It is forecast to stay above freezing tonight.

With a VERY HEAVY HEART, I must sadly announce that we will be cancelling.
Like everyone else, we've been watching the temps and the wind chill and are less than enthused with the idea of spending a weekend in the Airstream with 10 bodies.
It's a big drive for us (8 hours) which certainly factors in to our decision.
We really do appreciate all the work the organizers have put into this (Tom, Russ, and others) and am truly sorry for promising pizzas and not delivering.
(I do have 10 lg pizzas baked and frozen that I wish I could somehow get to Destin for the weekend. If anyone is passing through Commerce on I-85, I'll bring 'em up to you!)
We will miss the fun and fellowship of a great group of Airstreamers.
Maybe next year......

Darn those pizzas looked good. I am coming from the warm south merging onto I-10 right now from 75 northbound and hope to make the potluck. It is about an 8 hour for me.

That's all we use in our 29" ambassador. We use one of the oil filled electric radiators with a small fan behind it. Works great. If you are going to use more than one, just check so you not pulling to many amps. Most older AS have a 30 Amp max.

Please post lots of pics folks, I hate that we can't make it. Good news is that there is on 10% chance of rain, and great campfire weather!

When you hit mile marker 160 on I-10 west-bound, you will go into the Central Time Zone.

Dang! Those were fine eats! There was enough of everything, except for Vic's "Too Hot To Handle" Chili. I was hoping for leftovers....

No Friday night pizzas--but?
How about oyster shuck in', oyster roastin' and oyster shooters at #131 @4pm. Give me a few boomer votes and I'll get a sack?

We are in a hotel in Chattanooga right now - walking distance to indoor activities for a weekend of fun but I hate not camping arrrrrgh!
What happens with the low point drains at night - they freeze up with the bit of exposed pipe down there I assume?
I messed up and got home too late last night and freeze already plugged up my low point drains under the tires and my pink stuff would not escape from there...all the rest is filled with pink stuff
Hope everyone has a blast - catch you all next year.
