Hi Texas gal. We are from MS, new to the Canopener too, actually new to AS life AND our first rally of any kind. We are booked in site#80 on your loop. Looking forward to meeting you.

From what I can see, there will be lots of peach cobbler and whiskey! Who cares about frozen water lines!! 😛

If we can get the whiskey IN the cobbler, we'll save a step...

Nah. That's backwards. Get the peaches in the booze— Peach brandy or Peach schnapps.

Liking the way you think... I was originally thinking whiskey in the potato salad, but the cobbler seemed a better idea, then you completely reversed it on me.

I am an engineer, after all, so I have an instinctive need to find efficient solutions. At least for the next 87 calendar days. But if you want something a little bit chewier than peach-flavored adult beverages, there's always the traditional rum cake.

"Engineering a less sober tomorrow!" You can put that on your business card if you like. No charge...

By the time I attend Canopener, I'll be retired and have no more need for business cards.

Oddly enough, despite all my talk of alcohol, I've been stony sober since September 28th, 1998, when we had our hurricane party for Hurricane Georges (the last time I got too drunk to walk home). And since I found out I was diabetic in 2006, I've had no desire whatsoever to fall off the wagon. I'll add red wine to beef stew for flavor, and have the occasional slice of rum cake, but that's it.

I'm a very moderate drinker, but an over the top joker arounder... However, I get pretty serious when it comes to the cobbler, peach or otherwise.

And, congratulations on your retirement! I'm under four years to go, at this point, and seriously looking forward to it.

Oh, and why not. I made a cornbread pudding with a wiskey caramel sauce. I see beautiful new relationships.

Canopener 2015

I'm changing my order from peach cobbler to cornbread pudding with a whiskey caramel sauce, if anybody knows how to make one of those...

Seriously though folks - hold off on the THC Infused pasta, brownies, etc....I really cannot afford a positive drug test

I can partake of alcohol infused foods - but they have no pharmacological effects no?

Any alcohol should be out of your system before time to drive home anyway, purely as a matter or private and public safety, and metabolizes completely long before you would be subjected to random or mandatory work-related drug tests.

Can't say how many brain cells you'll lose, though… But you know what they say, "Once the menory goes, you can just forget it!"

Whoa, hold on a second, who brought up pot brownies? I get drug tested regularly, so, if this is something that happens, I kind of need to know. Not going to blow a retirement this far into it...

However, sitting around the campfire, having a beer, I'm all in!

Really, I'm just looking forward to meeting everybody. Mrs. Red was watching the Canopener videos, and said, "Hey, these are our type of people..."

Anyone bringing a 2015 Classic to the Canopener? Site number? Really want to see one before even thinking of ordering. Thanks.
