We are coming in New Years Eve and staying for a week. Back in our old site 118.
Lot of sites booked already. I guess we need to get a Canopener 2013 thread started.

I have moved these recent posts from the old Can Opener thread, and created this new one for the 2013 event.

The last couple of years, we needed to be in Jacksonville during the rally. Hopefully, next year will be different, and we will be able to make it. We live 3 miles east of Topsail Hill on 30-A. When we have come to the Can Opener in the past, it has taken longer to hook up Lucy than to make the drive to the campground.

Since you will be there for New Years, maybe we can get together at some point during your visit.

Brian

This will be our first Canopener. We've enjoyed the pictures from the last Canopener and will finally make it for 2013! We've made reservations already and the sites appear to be going quick. I hope they are all Airstreamers. We'll be in Crystal River, then camping at St. Andrews prior to arriving at TopSail.

Canopener 2013

Robin and I have rented site 133 and look forward to attending as Airstream owners for the first time. Thanks to all of you who allowed us to visit your Airstreams at the Canopener last month. It sure helped us make our purchase decision. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

I think I'm correct in saying this is not the "official" rally thread. The mods moved this from the 2012 CanOpener thread, I assume because it was discussing the 2013 rally. Take a look at the 2012 thread and you will get an idea of what goes on. I do know the rally dates discussed herein are correct so reserve your site and watch for the official thread

Maybe it is just me, but this thread seems to assume that everyone knows all the insider details. Where is the rally being held and where do we go to make reservations?

Here is a link to "your" post regarding this year's 2012 Canopener (see post #443): http://www.airforums.com/forums/f288...a-79732-5.html

"Luckyducks" (host for 2013 Canopener) has not started an "official" thread yet with all the information. This thread was originally started to let people know they could make their reservations for next year......and, it appears that almost 20 people have done so.

I will be 70 for the next Canopener (Good Lord willing) and I love to see kids. Still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Sal.

Chief, thank you for the response and memory jog. But as I am new to this I really had no way of of knowing that this was going to be held in the same place as the one this past January or who to contact to make reservations.

Just checking out the park site. Is there a special camping rate (normally $42 a night) available for the rally?
