before hauling a load of 'p.a' type stuff..

if might be a good idea to check with the park.

many state parks have rulz and regz on 'amplified' sounds...

we used a tiny one for the raffle at the bb bash, and a park ranger found us and said "no no"...

there is a band stand/gazebo thing that's covered and has juice and lights....

perhaps check on using it?

while the park did not object to the movie thing last year, it was waaaaaay on the back row.

Same here. I've been learning for 15 years and have found a method for us background 'tairist that get drug onstage, fake it with lots of big movements .

not sure you need approval but hate 4 anyone to carry stuff and not get to use it.

1. call the park, or email 'em. they've got friendly folks at the desk and ranger types too...
2. check the park website, there is a bunch of rulz listed for florida state parks, and this one specifically.
3. have one of the folks who LIVE nearby check it out.
4. turn on the amps and wait...

OK...I called and reserved the Club House for Saturday. We could have the pot luck in there if we want and we can set up a music jam inside where we dont have to worry about weather or disturbing the neighbors.

That sounds good. Both of our sons(14 &16) play the guitar, one plays bass. I know they will enjoy the music, maybe I can get them to join in a little bit.

I can not wait till January.This is going to be a very fun and exciting one to be at.

What we need now is a band leader. Who wants to pick 2 or 3 songs and the chord they will be played in? Then we can have all of the musicians ready for a mass play along and see if we can set a high (Low?) standard for the most musicians at any rally.

I suggest 3 chords, not too old, not too current (70's?), a good strumming pattern and a good lead.

Once all of that madness is over and photos have been posted, the real entertainers can take over.

Man, for 38 bucks per night I get, Florida, fun, food, fellowship and now entertainment. I'm not sure it get much better. And all of this because Steve wanted to see if a few folks wanted to come to Florida for a weekend in January 2007. Beginning to look like a little Bozeman. Maybe we can wear Tux's .

Looking forward to seeing all again.
