They may be occupied by the Camp Ground Hosts or taken out of the system for some other reason. When we were there over Labor Day they were occupied. One of the CGH's was on one of the sites across the street at that time. Sure they aren't just already reserved by someone not in our group?

Some parks hold a percentage of the sites for walkins in much the same way hotels hold some rooms off for special needs or persons.
Call the camp ground and ask what the rules are. They may be able to help if not right away they may suggest a time when you could call back.

I asked the reservation center if any of the sites from 100-169 were availabel and they told me no. They also said I would just have to keep calling back or look on the website. I told her that site 117 was not on the website no matter if it was available or not to which she replied I would have to call back or look on the website. I said, uhhh... okay.

It's been months since I chimed in, but this rally seems like it's going to be a BIG one. I will add something to the pot luck as soon as I can decide what. My poor airstream has been sitting for a few months, this weekend we will start another quick re-polish. Looks like we have a few from my area headed to Top Sail in Jan.

Sit Right Down
I believe walk ups are for campers that show up at the last minute.
A rule for tax dollar funded campgrounds.
Also a few around bath houses are left open as handicap spots.
Are cowbells the signal for Pot-Luck to start?

I know, I know, I was just stirring the pot. Didn't they ban the dogs from bringing cowbells to the grove???? They'll probably be even angrier to learn I am an alumni and fan of Rocky Top. I try not to give anybody from Kiln to much crap as thats the hometown of my favorite football player of all time.

Well, I have a tendency to down play my Auburn affiliation at these kind of things so you should be OK, mrmossyone.
BTW, Carol, why do you have to wait 'till January? Now that you and Brad are free as birds you can become snow birds and fly south for the winter and hang out in FL until the Can Opener and make us working folks jealous over your tans.

Dude, I am so jealous. I would give my left you know what to see him play in Lambeau, if you know of anybody w/ an extra ticket at an earth level price let me know, please (for any home game left this season). I will sell blood or something so I can go up there, eat some beer brats in the lot and root on the greatest team w/ the greatest QB to ever play the game( yes I am biased). You have fun and eat a brat for me.
