Rivernook Sounds Like Nookie

Hi all: Sherry and I are already booked so we are really looking forward to seeing you all again.

It is cold there at night so it sure does make cuddling easy

I am bringing fishing gear this year, so all you guys/gals who think you caught so many fish last year, better be learning how to land and fillet, and cook trout.

Anyway, lets have a great time.

Robert and Sherry

We loved camping at Rivernook last year. We are camping in the full hook ups that are above the creek in site #442. It's a great part of the campground, because of the creek, we got a mix of warm and cool breezes. And the Milky Way.....was stunning!

Are most folks in those premium pull throughs from 441 to 455? Going to call today and see what they have.

Kelly! Would love to see you there.

We are all over the place, sounds like it will be mostly us in the pull throughs, but there will also be some in the river front, as well as some on the creek side.

What's nice about the pull throughs is that you have full hookups right there in your spot, where as the rest of the sites you'll need to visit the dump station before you leave.

Perfect! I will call and see what they have available. Sounds lovely and I am looking forward to it. Perhaps it will even be the maiden voyage for my Globetrotter.

What's nice about the pull throughs is that you have full hookups right there in your spot, where as the rest of the sites you'll need to visit the dump station before you leave.
Don't forget that the full hookup sites have the older style sewer connection which is smaller than the standard size. You will need a special adapter to connect to it (the sewer opening is exactly the same size as the end of the stinky slinky - hope that makes sense....). They do have adapters in the office they lend out, but they only had a few last year and they were out of them by the time we checked in so we still had to use the dump station when we left. You may want to call ahead to see if they will hold one for you, or maybe they could tell you what size adapter you need and get one before you go and have it in your kit for future use. It was a bummer to pay extra for the full hookup site but only have only a partial hookup site functionally. That being said, we still had a great rally last year and we will miss being there with all of you this year.

Have fun!

I just had the worst experience with the manager at the Rivernook campground. I attempted to cancel my reservation via email and phone, yet the manager refuses to issue a refund. He hung up on me twice. When I requested a return call from the owner the manager said the owner probably wont bother to call me back because that's why she hired him?!?

I'm so stunned!! What horrible customer service!!!

Just saw this thread. We made our reservation during Kernville 6 and I think it's in the exact same site as last year, right on the creek. Unfortunately, I am trying to get out of a Saturday school event for the weekend of Kernville 7. Hoping I can make it. Would also be nice because I expect to finally have the trailer done, and gives me a good goal to look forward to.

Ugh. Confirmed I have class from 10am to 1pm on that Saturday. Looks like a 2hr45min drive to UCLA. So drive up Thursday night, stay through Sunday, and daytrip on Saturday to school? I could just think of it as a really long commute....

The things I do for Airstreams.
