Wow, those beavers were hard at work! Is that a recent picture? What site in that in again?
We're really looking forward to the rally! Is anyone else signed up? Last time I checked, we have 3 Airstreams on the creek!

I took that in February when we where up for Whisky Flat Days! That's our Airstream in the background at sight #46. So yeah, check the trees around your sight when you get there!

Gee I wonder how that creek got it's name?

She's very active but only in spots that are far away from the RV sites. This park is huge, and very spread out, with the Kern River bordering one side, and smaller creeks that run through out. We've never seen her, just the evidence.

Cara I know there were several more that signed up before we left last year that haven't posted here or the calender page yet. Hopefully they will see us here soon

Hey there: We look forward to meeting you and everyone as well. How large are those sites? We have a 28 foot Safari? Looks like the trees on those two sites will not be a danger, don't want to in a been there done that situation.

The sites are huge, no size restrictions. The trees aren't a problem either, they are big and shady, but located between the sites.

Ok, I have a really silly/dumb question.

I see the cool little 'poster' picture advertising this rally on the portal page. it has the fly fisherman on it and says 'Kernville, Ca'. Is that something that someone here made and is it something that I could get in print?

I made it; rally ads are free and we do 'em on request. This one was a take off on an old boys life magazine cover. I've attached a somewhat larger version and you can do what you want with it so long as no one makes money on it. Unfortunately it was designed to be that small button ad and so this is the largest version I have - not very high res....

Janet,
Thank you so much! I just want to print a copy for our scrapbook. Also, I have a few vintage travel posters framed in our AS, maybe I'll hang this one too since I love the graphics.
Also, I might print a copy for my dad, he's an avid fly fisherman and even though an AS rally is not his scene, he invited himself along when he heard we were going to Kernville.

We just spent the weekend in Three Rivers, Ca. It's sorta in the same region. Might be a good spot for a rally. Lots of open space for overflow. Lots of hook up sites and more sites with partial hook ups and plenty of space for boondocking. It's right on the Kaweah River. Nice swimming hole too. New bath house.
Check out this quiet park. We loved it.
Sierra Campgrounds | Sequoia RV Ranch | California RV Camping

We noticed another AS there this weekend but didn't get a chance to talk to them. We're going back in November. It can get very HOT in the summer.

Hey Cara, Janet really knocked it out of the park with the rally poster didnt she? It turned out fantastic!

We're thinking of having a Silver Sister's Rally at Sequoia RV Ranch next March. Glad you liked it, maybe you could join us. We can get passes to go up and see the giant Sequoias too.

Count me in!!!! I was just telling my best friend that I need to brush up on my backing up skills so I can go without John for a girls weekend. There are a number of pull-thru sites, but you never know when you're gonna have to back that baby up. March would be wonderful weather too. It's an easy 90 minute drive for me.
If you decide to go, give me a heads up!

About 3 years ago I went to the rivernook rally (I remember something about a pimp your lawnchair contest) and every day there were two men that walked past my trailer carrying freshly caught strings of fish. The fishing there looked amazing. Bring butter and a frying pan....
