We just made our reservations, will get there early on the 17th and leave on the 19th. I might even get in on this chili cook-off, also I spoke with the campground and she said they have some kind of rolling fire pit that we can set up at the pavillion. Wish they had a site map.

Hey 76...we brought lots of bottled water last fall for everyone...there was plenty of other liquids brought to drink!

I just got off the phone with Carol from Oak Grove RV booking our site. They seem like very nice, down home people. We booked Thurs. Fri and Sat.

FYI: I think the best way to get there coming South on 65 is to take the Shepard of Hills expressway. (right on 248 off 65 south)
248 will become Gretna Rd. Stay on Grenta Rd. to 76.
Cross over 76. After you cross 76 it becomes 165 and the park is about 1 mile down the road.

On the map this looks like the long way but there is no traffic and you will have 4 lanes until you get to 165.
The only draw back would be a couple of long hills coming and going. This is something we will have to address. 76 is very busy but no big hills.

Oak Grove RV Park is close to Walmart , a Conoco Station and The Shows if interested.

If you look on the Sign up thread you can see who is signed up. Currently we have You, Airhog1, Isadora, and myself. I spoke with Wiegand01 and he is in, and most likely Tinloaf is in as well. You can believe that nohillgrish and 2asprins will be there since they are 35 miles away. I would bet Ron and Stella as well as maccamper to be there too.

Gene, I PM'd Bill and Nell to tell them. I am also sending an email. They are in New York still from visiting family for the summer. I am sure if they are back home they will be there.

If I recall, I did see several critters on the side of the road last year that I could pick up and smoke when we get there! I'll keep my eyes open for only the fresh stuff!
