We need more bacon! The bash has grown! Check post 4 in this thread for an up to date attendance list. By my count we have 32 trailers and some folks in yurts. PLease let me know if you are making your own camping arrangements so we can get an accurate-ish head count for meals.

and 2air - French press here.....

We have a bunch of kids coming... does anyone want to organize a pumpkin carving contest for Saturday?

OK - never mind - it's just been organized.

Rules: Carve your own pumpkin and bring it to Saturday evening supper! Best pumpkins win. We'll appoint a couple of judges on the spot. Judges may accept bribes.
Entrants supply their own pumpkins!
One prize for best kid entry.
One prize for best adult entry.

Caveat: carved pumpkins must be taken home at the end of the evening - raccoons love 'em and a critter vandalized jack-o-lantern is just too creepy and sad th next day.

Bacon and coffee. Who needs anything else for breakfast!

Janet- Count 2 for my parents in the foil covered yurt. They said they would bring a salad for Saturday and syrup and eggs (farm fresh from Napa) for Sunday.

2Air- We drink French Roast in a vacuum pot at home, but in a Melita Drip while Streamin'.

Can't wait to see everyone!

Hi 2Air - can I drink some coffee even if I don't eat any bacon? If so, whole bean please.

Janet, Lee has announced that he is baking an apple cake, so please add that to the dessert list. (There, now he has to do it!)

PS - if anyone wants a set of four AS hubcaps (they're the ones that look like old Lincoln Continental hubcaps off of my Argosy), let me know! I'll bring them along...

Pumpkin Carving

Janet,

You think of everything. I'll even pack their Halloween costumes.
I got your package in the mail. Thanks for sending it to me.

BTW - I'm a new member of the WBCCI #11508.

Question for the crew going -

May I borrow someone's rivet shaver? I have about 12 rivets to take care of.

Thanks
K

Hi 2air,

Jane and I fire up the espresso maker at home, but like Brad, we do the Melita drip while Streamin' (now it's a dance step). Since we're usually just out for a few days, we don't pack a grinder, we just get a half-pound ground for the Melita. We'd be interested in checking out some of your grind.

Thanks!

Craig

Norby, if you leave now you can make it. It's going to be a lot bigger this year. More fire, more food, more people. I had to buy a 40 qt. stock pot for this one, 1/4" thick aluminum it's a good one. We'll miss you.

Tarps - we got 'em!

I have a friend with a lot of tarps -- we had them last year at BB II but didn't need them.

We'll be setting up on Thursday afternoon.

BTW - the forecast for this Saturday is Sunny and 75-degrees! Guess we'd need the tarps for shade!

See ya-all when you get here.

Jim,

Do you have a forecast for the 27-8-9th???
Remember Jim......it's the weekend after next......not this coming weekend!!
I also see we have one more trailer than the NorCal rally.......not that I'm counting or anything .......and I'm sure they'll be even more........at ours!!

Janet,

We will be going to the NorCal rally ~ leaving tomorrow. Back home for one maybe 2 nights then we will head up to Beverly Beach! I will try and check the list the short time we are home... I can bring bacon, or whatever you need the most! Let me know if you want something in particular!

This should be a great rally! Looking forward to seeing everyone! Last trip for us for awhile... it is back to the "grind"! This being retired is a whole lot more work than I originally thought it would be!

Drive safely everyone!

Well ... what we need most is good weather and in lieu of that, we need an excellent sense of adventure! See you in a couple of weeks - stay safe.
