Some people just can't hack it without satellite TV.

Aaah, thought you would be there through dinner.

Jim & Kaye may be out in the afternoon before you have to leave. Will be nice to see them. They are making a real effort to get beyond just WBCCI activities.

It's a great spot for this kind of camping. Hope everyone loves it as much as we do.

Well, we are just home with an inflatable air bed that will cover the entire surface of the children's tent.

Have been concerned about the kiddies being cold at night, looked at the pads to go under their sleeping bags and realized quickly that those will take up a ton of room---traveling and then storing at home. The inflatable bed takes up less space than one pad, and will keep them comfortably off the ground.

We have a staging area started, for packing Thursday morning.

Well, we'll see.

They have cold-weather sleeping bags plus fleece liners, a good little tent, will have winter jammies and be off the ground. They want to come and are excited about it, we don't want to cancel on them because of the weather----but I've thought about it.

We'll have them very close---if they need to come inside, they will come inside.

In Cape Girardeau, MO. Every time I look at the weekends WX Forecast it seems to get worse. Expect they'll be calling for a foot or so of snow by tomorrow. Think I'm going to wimp out and stay up at the lake.

I've been watching that, too. If the rain predictions get any worse............

Cross your fingers.

Well, we're now looking at 40 percent chance of rain on Friday, 50 percent on Saturday, with a low Saturday of 37 degrees.

For certain, we are going to leave the kiddies behind and try this with them another time. Too cold, too great a chance of rain. It would be an ordeal rather than an adventure.

Steve, what's the plan for rain? Do we have awnings?

We have a 10x10 portable awning. I am still voting it's only a 50% chance. That means half won't see rain. Don't chicken out, this is what Airstreams are made for. We will still be there!

At the rate the forecast keeps changing we'll never know what the weekend will really be like. The St. Louis local weatherman was showing a stationary front that kept drifting back and forth over the area this weekend and it looked like it would just be spotty showers vs. all-day showers. I'm not worried.

I'm pretty sure Roger & Alice have an EZ-UP portable as well.

Dan - I've changed my mind on bringing the kayak. Too cool and windy to really enjoy. I'll definitely have it at Moraine View in June.

We're not wimping out, just leaving the kidlings behind.

Still bringing the DO and going to cook in it or use the pie irons every meal, if we can.

Going to bring the Bogs for cold and wet, if it comes. The warmest and driest things we own.

It will still be fun. Really looking forward to seeing everyone.

Al, you could drag your s---- a-- up to see us, we would take care of you in the rain and cold. We will have lots of firewood and hot whiskey.

Better see you at Moraine View---how could you miss their 10th anniversary!

See y'all tomorrow,

Maggie

We have a 10 x 10. Have not used it much since we got the awning fixed. Al where are you going to be? We plan on driving around on thursday looking at the other campsites. Neither of us have been to Shelbyville.

Still in Cape Girardeau and will be until Sun. Much better WX Forecast here and the site was available.
