Sounds like an adventure jamboree to me. Can't wait to get there!
Should be mid to late Fiday afternoon. Save some bugs for us.

Hi all, The fridge is lit and down to a crisp 34 deg, chairs and table are packed, truck and trailer washed, water heater is a go, all systems green. Have to work tomorrow and then up to area 33 on Saturday. My usual entourage with a couple new faces will accompany me. I will have an open bar and snacks for all. I'd be there right now 'cept I got aced out of a Friday off by mere seconds. See ya'all soon.

For those wonering about electricity. There are outlets at the far end of the area. If you go all the way to the end of the road, there is a concrete area. There are several poles with electric outlets on them.

see you there !!

I must be the first to get home---------I hate it when that happens.......

I have to say that this was one of the best that we have been to; good weather, good folks, no plan, laid back, good beer, and as usual, a total overdose of great food----perfect-----thanks all!

First report from area 33:

Well - we barely got out with our socks!

2air was right - we should have stayed home. What a strange weekend! There were several UFO sightings and 2 of our party were sucked up into the glowing vortex that hovered over our site late on Saturday night. Don and Claudia will be missed, their trailer was found rolled into the river the next morning and they were no where to be seen. We assume that they are being experimented on far, far away.

Darol's newly polished trailer was covered in pock marks after a herd of enraged elk kicked it repeatedly. Evidently they found it an unusual suspect competitor for their lady elks.

Another camper became disoriented after consuming local berries and had to be carried out on a litter. medics had a hard time reaching the area after the flood.
We expected to see 2air at this rally and his trailer was there, but he was not. The property owner reported that he had seen an undulating swarm of area 33 body lice in the center of the campground and that when they moved off there was a white hat left. I guess they got 2air. The good news is that we will be e-baying his trailer to pay for Beverly Beach bash sites. RIP 2air.

Wot a partay!

We had a great time hanging with a great group! Major props to our fellow participants who laid out the fantabulus food & wine. Applause for the musicians who seranaded the nicely-mellowed Friday audience. A special tip of the admiration hat to the fine folk who jumped in to take some of the load off our host and hostess with the mostest, Janet and Gary. They like to pretend great rallys coincidentally happen where they pitch their Argy, but of course, it happens because they pour in major, "make it happen" energy. I was impressed with the fine job Admiral Janet and Flight Deck Control Officer Gary did in getting a large number of silver Zeppelins landed and parked in such a cozy meadow. Kudos!

We had a fantastic time, as always. At one point we had eight people and a dog in our little Caravel! We were all laughing so hard telling stories, others just kept joining in!

Of course they were just trying to get out of the rain and tornadoes that passed through. And the bedbegs, don't forget those. Oh, and the bears, they hauled off some small unruly dogs! Nothing but leeches in the stream. Oh, and who could forget the sinkhole that opened up on Saturday! We lost our flamingo in it! It was pretty bad. We'll have to find a different place far away from there for next year!

It was a 10

So Beth and I got a racoon tan, having to wear those welding gogles all weekend being parked between Darol and Joe.Please,Gary, tie us down next year in a not so up-scale neighborhood.
And what can we say about the feasting?----well,simply put---undescribable!Suitable for royalty.A good thing the rally was only 4 days,we would have to start an Airstreamers weight watchers support group. And,any more days than that, the only way you could tell when one meal stopped and the next started, would be by the type of fare that appeared on the table.
Having come out of the airplane society, and restoring old planes for many years, this food thing is a wonderful change. You can't carry much food in a plane after your essential camping gear, when you go to a flyin,[rally].I have yet to see a frig in a sport plane. So that pretty much dictated eating at the "garbage scows" that showed up along the flight line, serving everything that, was for the most part, boiled in oil. Not much of a repast when compared with what you fellow Airstreamers endlessly produce from those silver mansions.
It appears that Beth and I were among the lucky ones to have escaped with our lives.Somehow avoiding the plagues, tornadoes, bears, devil elk, bugs, rockslides, sinkholes, and the like. But I tho't for sure we were gonner's when leaving at full throttle trying to outrun the erupting volcano,we saw 2 silver trailers disappear in the cloud of ash behind us.We will surely miss those folks.
I don't know how we can top this rally for next year, but as resourcefull as the airstreamers are,I'm betting we will. These are the good times in life, when we slow down, relax, eat, laugh, sing, play, and enjoy time with old friends and meet new ones.May it never end! See you all soon, Butch

Gary and Janet,as usual, your planning and efforts facilitated and oustanding rally. Many, many thanks!!
Annika is hooked on learning fire dancing, and she truly enjoyed every aspect and all of you kind, warm folks. Don,again, thanks for the art lessons.
Zeke, you were a joy,and God bless you and your wonderful family.
Thanks to all for a most amazing event. Beth

Did anyone take any pictures to post? Or did the UFO's destroy the film when they flew over. Good thing you had your aluminum hats on to prevent mind control.

I smuggled out some video footage under my aluminum hat. If I can find a managable section to loop, I'll post a link.

The aliens did all sorts of weird stuff. They turned Mona upside down for some unknown reason.

We'll miss them

For all of their efforts with the Tin Foil Hats and all, Don and Claudia went missing the night after this picture.

At 6:00 P.M. Claudia and I found ourselves standing in the back yard under the walnut tree. We were somewhat disoriented. I just turned on the computer and saw some strange pictures of Claudia and myself. We have no recollection of such pictures. I haven't brought this up with her yet. I'll get back to you as soon as I do.
