Thumbs up Another Chicagoland Rally?

Anyone interested in another get together in the Chicago area before it gets cold and snowy?
Maybe an late October / early November camping trip?

Wait a second.......does starting this thread mean that I would have to organize it?

In any event, we'd love to get together with our fellow Airstreamers if anyone is interested: hang out in the fallen leaves and roast something, sip on hot apple cider, maybe spend a day apple picking?

Any takers? ideas?

I'd be interested, but it would depend largely on the date. Most of October is pretty much a wash out for us for serveal reasons. It is looking like November might be the last hurrah for us, then again, that also depends on how cold it starts to get. The furnace on the Bambi is out and we might be trading it in for a new coach (25' Safari "SS"). That does mean however that I wouldn't be opposed to a winter christaning of the new coach should we go that route...

Gary Salmon emailed me with the idea of having another rally this fall. He suggested Jim Edgar State Park which happens to have 18 full hookup sites. I was trying to confirm with him the availability of the sites but the dates with the most openings were the 17-19 th of October (last time we checked everything was open).
