I did notice that the third weekend in march 2013 comes early that year. The following weekend may also work.

March is a beautiful time in the Carolinas.

Good to hear Dave. Gonna be a good time. And it's sort of in your neck of the woods.

John,

I think we are in pencil for this one, discussed with Linda. Need to check one additional schedule, but looking OK.

Tom Johnson == Nice Place

Missed the March rally but writing this one down. It's in pencil right now but all intentions to attend.

Camped at this facility earlier this year with my unit and it was quite nice. Great location for that time of year...
See ya then. tb

Gary, hope you and Linda can make it. Should be a nice change of scenery from the midlands. The views from the Parkway are splendid.

Count'n on you too, Pam. Heck, you're already half way there. BTW, have you added another trailer to the stable?

Lapper,

Nothing new in the AS stable, did get a little 13' fiberglass that I am fooling with. Actively working on helping a couple friends look for a trailer and you know what I'm steering them towards. Suffice to say it won't be stick and tin!!

All you Carolina folk, whether it be north or south, come on down to this rally!! Actually this rally site is centrally convienent to VA and TN too.

Thanks for getting it together. tb

Hey John, I think we will be able to do it. We won't know until a couple weeks before. I am going to make reservations anyway. Brett and Debbie

Well alrighty then, we're on a roll now.

Buried on the Rally Calender is a RSVP page. The only way I know to access it is to advance it to October, then click on Alumalina. If you like , you can RSVP there.

The reservations for the campground are handled through the service dept. there at TJCC. They are very helpful and friendly. Don't forget to mention the Rally. We are to park together on Middle Street.

Informal Airstream gatherings are relatively scarce in the Southeast. Non existent here in the Carolinas. We're hoping to grow this thing into something special. All it takes is a little Airstream love to share.

A little update

Talked with the folks at the campground today. They are holding sites 49-66 on Upper Street instead of middle street for us. They will hold them until Sept. 21. They are all identical, all in a row. They will start with # 49 and go up to #66. If you make a res. after the 21st it may not be on the same street but there will be sites available in the park. And if you decide last minute to join us , come on. There will likely be a site some where.

Their phone # is 800-225-7802, ext 1. The service dept. handles the reservations. $30/nite.

Pull up their map and you will see the layout. It works well.

Be sure to tell them you are with the Airstream group.

Now.....time to be thinking about food and spirits.

John

Sure Capt, call me anytime. Check your pm......but don't make the questions too hard, I'm as dumb as I look.

Can they be multiple choice?

sorry we can't get to Falluminum, again. I know it will be great. It is unbelievable how much stuff is going on these days and not enough time to get it all in. The schedule stays loaded down. I need to clone myself so the clone can work while I play.

A little update

Talked with the campground folks today. There are still sites available in our row but they will release them Sept 21. So if you are coming you may want to call them for a site, they know which ones, be sure to mention the Rally.

And don't forget to RSVP on the rally page at the bottom of the portal. Just click on Alumalina, it will take you there.

I'm thinking a crock pot of chili for Friday nite so no one will have to cook after getting there. Its one of those things that the longer it simmers the better it gets. So no schedule, just have at it when you're ready.

OK Carolinians, it's time to hear from ya'. What say you?

John

John,

We are scheduled in early, can help with chili. Wish we had wood fire cooking access, got some Dutch ovens etc.

Hey, want some cornbread with the chili? Can bake it in camp with my cardboard box oven.

Are we there yet?

Gary, gonna take you up on the chili offer. We hope to get in late Thursday pm ourselves.

I'm not too familiar with the finer points of DO cooking, except that everything I have ever tasted that came out of one was awesome. I've seen charcoal used, so if you can make that work you're good to go.

And absolutely bring along that space age cardboard oven of yours. Gotta see that thing in action.

Yep, almost there. It just over the next hill, around the corner, down the road just a bit, .............
